Kyrei Posted April 21, 2010 Share Posted April 21, 2010 Hi and thanks in advance for any help offered: Here is where I am in the game: Kvatch Rebuilt Quest 1 (have the vial and am attempting to enter Skingrad Castle for completion) / Main Quest - awaiting results on Mystic Dawn cult location / Mage's Guild - meet the Count of Skingrad I have a heavily modded game, but have been using BOSS (with latest masterlist) and up until now, the game has been running smoothly. However, as soon as I enter the Castle Skingrad area, either by fast travel or walking from any direction, the game immediately CTD. I have taken such a long time to set the game up (finally!) with the mods I want and this is (so far at least) the only problem I have encountered. I can provide the BOSS report of mods if you like. I read another poster's issue similar to this, stating that CTD occurred (at about the same point in Main Quests and Kvatch Rebuilt) in other areas such as the Arcane University etc., but none of them crashed the game for me; only trying to enter Castle Skingrad. Any suggestions for a fix for this? I would rather not unload Kvatch Rebuilt as it seems like a very cool mod, but if that is the case then so be it... <Update>:I went back to an earlier save, after accepting the quest to retrieve the vial of red liquid and tried to enter Castle Skingrad --> CTDI went back further to a point before accepting the first Kvatch Rebuilt quest and could enter Castle Skingrad no problem. Therefore it seems to me that the CTD is caused by some conflict with Kvatch Rebuilt and returning to claim the first quest result. I will now attempt to complete the Mage Guild quest in Skingrad first, reload Kvatch Rebuilt, and then try again... Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
