They hold back their own fear, and tought them that spiders are nice. They succeeded a long way, untill kinder garden. Here they learned that spiders are nasty and ugly, and you should fear them.But I think it proves a long way, that in the spider case, it is not coded in the genes, but learned by surrounding enviroment.
