goebels
The first priority mod, the most requested and the reason for many of us to look into mod sites is the one still unfulfilled... This game should have been shipped with proper auto-pause options, similar to Baldur's Gate: auto-pause when party member is seriously injured, killed, spell is cast, weapon unusable, enemy target is killed, etc. Is it too difficult to script ? The conversations I've read about it in various places would suggest it can be achieved with mild to moderate effort. I'm baffled something of this relevance to gameplay hasn't been done yet, considering all the mods out there to make things look prettier or to add penises to them (sigh and lol). Thank you. DarkeWolf
considering that the game is constantly doing healthchecks as part of the party AI, I could see that it wouldn't be hard to do, once the right files are found to reference. I dunno about lag tho, on some of the systems that have a hard time with this game. And it might futz with the AI some, since they'd try to perform an action and get paused in the middle of it. Sferzar
I can see this lagging the computer down considerably.
goebels
You mean party AI ? I have that fully disabled (thanks for at least allowing us that, Bioware)... I prefer playing my own games instead of letting the computer play them for me - might as well leave the game playing unnatended and go watch a movie instead, then come back to see who won the battle... LOL. Anyway, just commenting on this because if the party AI tactics could be a deterrent, then as far as I'm concerned just do the mod NOW and put a note in the readme suggesting to disable party AI to avoid any conflicts. Not that I'm sure there'd be such a problem, but then again I'm no modder.
DarkeWolf
I'm not talking about the tactics set ups when I say AI. I mean the entire way that they fight. I've had mod incompatibilities where it makes them NOT fight. I mean, I can tell them to hit something, and then I have to manually tell them to KEEP hitting it. Otherwise they just stand there, doing nothing but take a beating. Now granted... I could be completly off base there, as it might not affect them at all. I'm just saying that when messing around with stuff like that, it can be very quirky.
