finniksa
This is for the thief characters who love to get that five-finger discount. If shopkeepers could deposit their wares in a chest before they tuck in for the night, then hold the key on their body, thieves could pickpocket the keys and open the chest of goods. If key versions aren't possible, then if merchants had all their wares in "very hard" chests, then that would be good too. Currently there is a mod that is supposed to do both of these types, but they do not work. The keys on the shopkeepers don't match the chests 90% of the time, and the keyless version simply isn't there. So I figure they are broken and we need a new mod! It's a great idea, I believe carried over from Morrowind, which I never played, but this would be great for any adventurous thief. :) Thanks for considering the request. 8)
bobthethurd
Well, considering that everything you can buy from a merchant, or at least most of it, is laying around his shop untouched and unprotected at night...I think you see my point...
finniksa
Well, considering that everything you can buy from a merchant, or at least most of it, is laying around his shop untouched and unprotected at night...I think you see my point... Not usually. The higher level things are usually only in their inventory. Especially enchanted things, potions, scrolls, etc.
finniksa
The author (Moogiefluff) of the original Merchant Chests Keyless is going to fix the upload. If anyone is interested, the mod is here: http://www.tessource.net/files/file.php?id=3033 So there's no need for a New Request for this mod.
