add clothing mods to inventory or container

I'm starting to get a little overwhelmed by the amount of clothing and weapon mods and was looking for a mod that can add the new items to my inventory or a container after continuing my game after installing them, tried looking but so far all i found was the cheat to add items but you you need the individual codes to add them.

Has this been done already and if not anyone think its a good idea?

I've used TES4Gecko to combine multiple armor mods into one .esp before in order to reduce clutter, but I'm not aware of anything that will place all the added items into a container for you. As far as I know you have to use the CS and do it by hand.

My guess would be that the Oblivion game engine would not support a mod that tried to do that. I think you would have to do it manually using one utility program or another.

You might enjoy learning enough modding skills to pull clothing and weapons from other mods into your own custom mod.

It's really incredibly easy to make yourself a personal cheat chest of this variety. I ended up doing exactly that because when I was messing with Bash and Gecko trying to get 300+ mods working at the same time, I kept losing clothes and stuff that I'd previously purchased from the mod shops. It was like the mods re-setting themselves every time I unloaded and then reloaded the file, only instead of a quest mod reverting back to stage one, all the stuff I'd bought from mod shops would vanish from my inventory or the containers in my house, and reappear back at the merchant.

The first time it happened I just used Fast Travel and the additem console command to give myself tons of gold and repurchased everything, but it kept happening over and over as I kept combining mods into new files and reorganizing which ones I wanted combined (I have a touch of OCD when it comes to keeping my mods organized and categorized). After the third incident, by which time I had three gigantic shops and at least four "the new items are in the chest behind the inn" type mods, I gave up and spent an hour making a cheat chest and dumping all the clothes that I liked from mods into it. This way I can reorganize and recombine to my heart's content, and also not ever worry about editing or altering a mod because of the potential consequences of having to re-acquire everything it added.

The peace of mind is worth it; I'm rapidly becoming addicted to editing my personal copies of mods so that they're completely suited to my preferences. Until I opened up the CS for the first time I had no idea how damned simple it is to rename an item (things named "Skirt Blue HGEC amulet" make me nuts), or change the slot where something is worn, add more ambient lighting to a building that was too dark inside, change the hours a shop is open, fix typos in dialogue or script messaging... just small tweaks that take two minutes and a couple of clicks to adjust, but make a huge difference in seamlessly blending the mod into the game. Immersion is important to me, and nothing shrieks "MOD!!!" louder than a blatant misspelling or the aforementioned Skirt Blue HGEC.

There is a catch, If you place too many items in a single chest, things start to disappear. They are not really gone, as removing items from the container will allow them to reappear.

I use a series of mods for organizing 'stuff'

Quick clothes and spells http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=14794 - which includes a set of containers that you carry that only show as a single item in your inventory. one is a 'bag of holding' type container that will hold anything you place in it with no weight penalty. others are a clothing bag, a ingredients bag, and a bag for holding objects that you will sell. It has several other handy hot key features as well - swap between 8 separate outfits instantly, extra spell slots, Instant cast from a list of 8 spells and an in game help manual.

'The art of speedy depositing' http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=9835 Allows you to define what goes into chests. I use it in conjunction with a mod where there are a lot of containers nearby so when the speedy deposit spell is cast, everything not defined as current kit is automatically deposited in the proper container.

I also use a teleport spell to a pocket universe 'Private Quarters" There are several variations, pick he one you like http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/search.php that I have modified to add 30 storage chests within easy reach, as well as several other personal changes.
