crash in combat with companions

Hello. I have a problem, as you can guess by the title. Whenever I get into combat, the game crashes. It was fine when I didn't have companions, but it doesn't work with them. I have a fine computer, and it doesn't even lag prior to the crash.

Who's got two thumbs, and is an idiot? This guy! I don't know why, but the LAME optional plugin "bgmagic lightning bolt" was the cause. I realized this after I was looking at wrye bash and saw the plugin and remembered that it always crashed just after my companions used shock spells. As I do not use shock spells, I blamed this on the companions. I turned the esp off and I could fight for once!
