Mage Specialisation: Void Caster

Hello everyone. Recently, I had drafted together an idea for a specialisation, but when it comes to using the Dragon Age editor, I am completely lost. So, I thought I could share it here.

 

Specialisation: Void Caster

 

Blood Magic is not the only forbidden Magic. A far less known branch of magic practiced in more ancient times is Void magic. With this magic, the Mage draws their power from a place completely seperate from the Fade, a dark realm called the "Void" where malevolent and forgotten gods lurk. The Void can be seen in the night sky, each light is a god watching the world with contempt. While a Mage tapping into the Void is not at risk at being possessed by a Demon, they are in extreme danger of having their minds consumed by the gods, either driving them completely insane or turning them into vegetables. When the Chant of Light spread through the world, the Void Casters were nearly completely stamped out. The Chantry today does not acknowledge the existence of the Void, or practioners of Void casting, simply labeling them maleficar and hunting them down.

 

Ability 1: Void Attunement

Upkeep: 0

Fatigue: 10%

Cooldown: 10 Seconds

The Void Caster rejects the Fade, tapping into the Void instead. When this mode is active, the Void Caster gains a large bonus to Spellpower, but suffers a penalty to Mana Regeneration. This mode also gives back mana to the Void Caster every time he or she inflicts damage. Call of Kaulhu increases the Spellpower and mana gained this way.

 

Ability 2: Dark Whisper

Mana Cost: 40

Cooldown: 30 Seconds

The Void Caster whispers the names of gods that were never meant to be spoken, inflicting spirit damage and causing a target to suffer penalties to Attack and Spellpower unless they pass a mental resistance check.

Requires Active Ability: Void Attunement

 

Ability 3: Call of Kaulhu

Passive

The Void Caster now gains additional Spellpower when Void Attunement is active, and additional mana when he or she inflicts damage. Call of Kaulhu also gives a permanent bonus to Spellpower at all times.

 

Ability 4: Grasp of the Void

Mana Cost: 60

Cooldown: 40 seconds

The Void Caster creates a rift in an area, causing all enemies in the targeted area to suffer moderate spirit damage and to be pulled to the middle of the rift unless they pass a physical resistance check. Requires Active Ability: Void Attunement
