RikuCaboose
I successfully connect my NNM to my Starbound game and install a few mods with no problems. The location has no issues, the mods are activated, and they have no requirements, but for some reason the mods don't "show up" in the game. For example: I installed and activated the mod to customize my spaceship/spawn in a bigger spaceship. But I spawn in my same old small ship and cannot customize it. This issue doesn't stay with just this game, I also had this problem for Fallout 3. As a side note, I run all my games on an external hard drive so I don't fill up the rest with junk. I don't think that is the source of the problem since all my games run well and I haven't had this problem with my Skyrim. djinnihaniver
With a lot of the ship mods on Starbound, if you are using a character you created before installing the mod, you have to delete your .shipworld files associated with that character, or easier really just start a new character of the race the mod is for and you should begin on that ship. They are in the player folder within your larger Starbound folder. The way that they are organized is very confusing (i.e. they don't use the name you picked, but random numbers.) I use my character deletion program to show me which is which, but if you open your character, then save and close, the files for that character should be the most recently edited so you can sort the most recent and be pretty confident it is the right character. Always suggest backing up the old .shipworld files before you start though. Also make sure any items you want to keep are in your character's backpack, as everything on the ship will disappear. On a side note, I do not use a mod manager, so I do not know what part this may play in your troubles. It is very straightforward in this game, simply put folders for mod into mods folder, perhaps if you cannot get it to work still try bypassing the manager.
