valhalex86
Hi "Oblivioners" ... I have a problem. I tried to soolve it by searching around..Loading guides..Using the OBSS.. But I still have problems. The issue is; I used to run properly Obvlibion , using Wrye Bash. I solved some problems time ago, by re-ordenating the list of Mods I had installed. The problem now is that I've just installed (helping wth readme and Wrye) OBGE plug-in ( with standalone effects and the .esp) and LookHereYou.esp I tried to moove those .esp correctly in the Wrye launcher, but the problem is not solved. The problem I'm talking about , is the following one: I open Oblivion with Wrye Bash launcher. I can play, I have no bugs ( aparently, by the moment), but each time I end a game, appears the " Oblivion has encountered a problem and neeeds to close", and I have to close it with TaskManager. I had the same problem before, and as I said, I solved it placing the mods correctly, but not this time. I've uninstalled both mods, but OBSS unplaced my previous load order. I know what is the problem, so, the help I'm asking for is: If I put one screenshot here, can you help me with load order ? TY very much , and sorry for my english :)
Slangens
First: The order BOSS (I believe that's what you called OBSS) is CORRECT. With the successor, LOOT, it would be a wrong one, probably. But the load orders BOSS puts in are right. So you can run BOSS and it will set all the plugins right. Maybe you should rebuild your Bashed Patch after that.Second: The crash on exiting is a common problem. Oblivion is pretty bad at shutting itself down.Use this OBSE-Plugin for it, that makes it work just fine: ( http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/22410/ ) You could post your original and the BOSS load order here, maybe there is a problem we can help with. valhalex86
ups, yep..My mistake, I mean BOSS. The problem with BOSS, is that it doesn't recognize some mods, and I have to put it manually ( i think those are which give problems). By the moment, I hve this load order, without any troubles: http://i.imgur.com/kWkLTyk.png http://i.imgur.com/sDAK4gp.png So... Where can I put "LookHereYou.esp" and OBGE ? Oh, and ty very much for the "Fast end" plugin. PD: ahm yes... The fastend plug in, is madre for OBSE ( I have it of course) , but still works with Wrye, right ?? bben46
LOOT is the replacement for BOSS - it is made by the same people who made BOSS. And was originally going to be BOSS v3 but they made so many changes they decided to give it a new name - It uses a different method of ordering mods that doesn't leave any behind. DrakeTheDragon
The Oblivion Script Extender (OBSE) is not to be confused with the Oblivion Mod Manager (OBMM).Whether you install and manage your mods with Wrye Bash or OBMM or NMM or manually even won't matter to OBSE. The Oblivion Graphics Extender (OBGE) you're planning to use is an OBSE-plugin (a DLL, basically) as well, by the way,and as such 'requires' you using OBSE in order to work, just like the Fast Exit DLL. As for BOSS and LOOT, it is correct that LOOT is the next version of BOSS and 'should' be doing the trick better than BOSS does now.Unfortunately I've read quite a bunch of people reporting that LOOT when used for Oblivion mods created a non-working load order, whereas BOSS still creates a working one. I'm convinced LOOT will become as invaluable and priceless for Oblivion modding as its predecessor BOSS is right now,but as of today I'd be wary of its use for Oblivion right now, as the reported issues so far are just too many still for me to already consider it an option, yet. And as for the original problem at hand, Oblivion not closing cleanly but with a hang up and an error, apart from using Fast Exit or similar to circumvent it, rest assured you might not even find a solution at all. It is known to happen to some people even without any mods installed at all. It's just Oblivion's game engine's doing by design. It isn't exactly the most clean and stable out there.
