yozaman
I was just starting out in custom texturing and watching some tutorials and made a weapon that took me about an hour or two and i really liked how it turned out. Then i was then looking into blender nif scripts so i could export to .nif, but then realized i needed to use blender 2.49b. So i downloaded it and cannot open my blender file (newer version) and only comes out as a cube. Is there anyway to salvage the work i have done or export it as a .nif with the newer version? This is probobly the dumbest question that is easy to answer but take it easy on me, im a begginer.
neomonkeus
You can either save the .blend file with the option "Legacy Mesh Format" enabled, *note triangulate your meshes Ctrl + T if you have n-gons*.The second option is to use an interchange format such as .3ds and import into 2.49b.
