console command issue

I'M not sure I'm posting this in the correct place, but in any case I am noticing something odd occurring with the console item commands ('cheat). In general, I am not having any difficulties, and am able to import items/etc. with no problem. However, sometimes (seemingly at random), I will receive a 'Success' on entering it, yet it does not appear in the inventory (also minus the telltale sound effect, and 'item added' icon). Has anyone else experienced this? If so, what can I do to correct it? I have played through a few times to completion with out the aid of the console cheats, and thought I would spice things up a bit, Any suggestions would be appreciated!!

Are the 'missing' items vanilla/base game items, or items added by mods?

It seems to happen in both instances. For example, I have been able to successfully import some items from the 'Kirkwall Armoury' mod via the console commands, and others would be missing on entering the code (despite the "Success" indication). The same thing with some vanilla/base items- some appear just fine, some don't (again with the false 'success' report). Perplexing......

Identifying exactly what works and what doesn't would go a long way toward helping others understand what's going on.

(Which is basically what tsm asked...)

As you have reported things, my immediate supposition is: "Entered a valid console code, but for a non-existent item." You'd get the "Success" response, but nothing else.
