Help/ideas for clothing mod I created.

Hello!

 

I created this clothing some time ago. Robes, boots, pants (separated from the robes), Bodyslide ready.

They came out of nowhere, so I don't have a "concept" for these. I'm looking for ideas/help to place it into the game in a cool way if posible, I don't just want to throw a crafting recipe and be done with it :/

 

First, need a name. I though maybe something like "Umbra Robes", because how dark they look and blah blah, but maybe it can be something related to something within the EScrolls lore? vampires? maybe some daedra? the ornaments remind me of Hermaeus Mora, they kinda look like tentacles. Any ideas?

 

Second, how to place it into the game? I have to admit that I don't want to spend time with the creation kit. I don't want to make a whole quest to acquire the robes. But that's me. It'd be cool to have something interesting to do regarding the robes. What I want to say is I'm willing to share the nifs if someone is interested to make a quest/dungeon or something.

 

Third, which enchantment? They look kinda magical so I guess they would be like the archmage robes. I suppose that this will be defined depending when the name/concept is chosen.

 

I'll appreciate any ideas :tongue: I'll wait a few days to see if someone is interested to make a quest/dungeon/enchantment, if not, I might then create that crafting recipe hehe.

Whoa, really cool. Not exactly typical outfit I use in my game, but I still like it.

It's well made, looks nice and it's not too sexy.

 

In my opinion it looks like something Elenwen would wear at her party?

 

I like that set, and I'd gladly answer any questions you have.

I have much experience with adding items/weapons/armors in-game. (But not with quests and such)

 

I wouldn't build a quest for set of armor/clothing. It just makes generally obtaining the suit too hard and sometimes even weird,

sadly I have never even touched some of the real cool armors because the way to obtain them was just too crappy.

 

My opinion is that it could be added to existing NPC (Some ideas: Elenwen, Serana)

Or new companion could use it, but that'd need some extra work.

Hey! thanks for replying to my post. Interesting idea about adding it a an existing NPC, like Elenwen. The issue that I see with it is, how would the player obtain the outfit? I don't think killing her would be a good idea haha. Maybe placing it inside the Thalmor Embassy? so when the player is through the quest they stumble upon this set? and this would mean that it should be called something like "Thalmor Dress", if that makes any sense? :p

 

I like the idea of having a new NPC follower with the outfit, followers are very popular. I'll try writting to some of the creators of followers and see if someone is interested.

 

Oh, and I had an idea too. What about this set could be obtained after being Archmage, and maybe some sort of crate appears in the archmage quarters with a letter, which says that someone is giving you this as a gitft or something?

Can't really get it from Elenwen can't you.. :DD

 

I guess that brainfart originated from the fact that I am using self-made mod that replaces most unique NPC's outfits with modded gear.

 

Mmm.. Follower might be good idea, though then people who don't need followers might not want to download it.

(I know my way around CK, even if I am not using custom followers I'd be able to add it into my game)

And this one is definitely getting in my game once it's available :D
