alexkx
i was downloading some new mods and activated em, the game ran perfectly, until i innstalled 3 new mods.and i played the game, but now the game started to freeze all the time, so i had to restart the pc, and after a while, i turned off oblivion to do something else, later that day i tried to play oblivion, but all i got was a black screen popping up for 2-3 sec, then it dissapeared, so i tried to go into oblivion again, same result. so i deleted oblivion, and reinnstalled it, (this time with no mods downloaded) and it started working again, so i decided to download my mods again, and there you go, same problem as iv`e had the last time, black screen for 2 sec.is there a way to fix this?and btw im not getting any error messages telling me that something is missing, just a black screen that pops up and dissapeares, hindering me from playing oblivion. It's happened to me before and thats what I do.
bben46
There are several things that can cause what you describe. First, did you remember to reinstall the latest patch? Then did you reinstall OBSE? Last, this can also be caused by a missing master file (.esm) that may be required by one of your mods. If you install the mods one at a time and test you will know which one caused the problem. If you install a lot of mods all at once without testing, the time you think you saved will be lost trying to figure out which mod is causing the problem. Next time instead of reinstalling, try this:Bben's Oblivion Revert to Vanilla gamehttp://www.tesnexus.com/articles/article.php?id=340 Here is some more crash advice:Here is a link to Bben's Crash Helphttp://www.tesnexus.com/articles/article.php?id=298.
