Modders Manual Doesn't Work

It's probably at your side, I just opened it without problems. Got the latest version of adobe? I can say the same about word, but I'd say openoffice as that one is updated more often.

If you're just after modding-guides the wiki its beginners guide will serve you fine.

Yeah I'm up to date with adobe and word. The message I get is that it's not been encrypted properly and that it's a 7z file (never heard of it before until today lol). It's a shame as the modder's manual looked good from the reviews, any suggestions how I'll be able to download it?

And thank you my friend for the link :)

One last thing: has the elder scrolls official site been hit by a virus recently? my norton safe web flags it as ''unsafe''.

The file you downloaded is a 7z file which is another form of archive, like Winrar but has greater compression. Z-Zip is a free program, unlike Winrar, and will open all other formats of archive. It's also the most popular format these days for packaging mods.

You'll need this program to unzip the archive you downloaded with the Mod Maker's manual. Then use Acrobat to read it.

Edit: Must be Norton because the Official forums are OK from my end. Sometimes you get false positives.
