ciggggg
Hi I'm Craig!I've been playing around modding various games for about 12 months now, Mainly Skyrim, Falllout 3 and FNV. After seeing all the amazing mods available, its really just sparked this need/desire to learn how to create mods of my own to use and share! I just wanted to ask some advice and get some kind of direction on how i would go about learning to do this? Is this something i could learn by research online? Do i need to look into courses at an educational institution? Ideally i'd be interested in making Player homes, character/NPC aesthetic enhancements, graphical enhancements. If learning how to make and create these type of mods would require going to Uni, or CIT or TAFE, I am prepared to do that. what kind of courses should I be looking at if this is the case?Any kind of advice would be greatly appreciated :) Thanks guys Craig. simtam
There's plenty of tutorials online. And where I come from, no hobby requires learning it at a school. Having said that, I recall that the author of "Moon and Star" Skyrim mod has some interesting relevant education, indeed - see his http://marcsoskin.com/resume/ - so it's not unheard of! Bess
A very good site you might want to check is TES Alliance. For Skyrim, there's Skyrim School. Classes, tutorials, lots of friendly help and guidance available. Their Creation Kit Basics classes are a really good place to start, but there's lots else besides. Lots! There's also right here, of course --- Nexus Forums and the Nexus Wiki. So much information!!
