Quests And Carrying Booty

As I am new to this game my questions are probably rather naive. I can see by the string of postings that there are various "quests". Do they just happen, do you choose them or some how earn the right to go on them? I just got off the boat in Sedyn Yeng (sp) and starting walking.

Second question. Is there some what to carry all the booty you find out of the various areas? I always seem to get "over emcumbered" and either have to leave good stuff or make countless trips back. I have at least figured out to pile it all in one spot, pick it up and then use a spell to transport to a temple, but even this is cumbesome.

Thanks

Well, on your arrival - after Character generation - you were told to report to Sellus Gravius. If you use all his dialogue options he will give you a package to deliver. This begins the main quest. If you follow that immediately the guy you deliver the package to will have loads of information about joinable factions all of whom give you quests and advance you. You can end up leading them all. Other quests arrive by talking to people. There are four miscellaneous quests in Seyda Neen from - Fargoth (hardly a quest), Hrisskar Flat-Foot, the Imperial wandering around the centre whose name escapes me at the moment and if you explore a little way outside the village close to the coast you will find a corpse which will generate a journal entry to start another quest.

In terms of carrying stuff, at the earliest stage if you gave Fargoth his ring back (a good move) Arille in the tradehouse will buy from you at as good a rate as you'll get anywhere this early in the game. Later when you join factions they will buy at better rates. Galbedir in the Balmora mages guild (if you are a member) is said to be best value for money but I don't know that for a fact. She does not buy everything.

As you level up and get stronger you will be able to carry more and there are fortify strength constant effect items to be found, bought or made in game.

Hope this helps.

the amount you can carry depends on your strength level 100 being the normal amount allowed but if you want to carry the weight of a house go to a spellmaker make a fortify attribute spell for strentgh to 100/100 and spell trap on target for 1 sec cast until it suits you..but if ur a real player you wont do this and you'll just tough it out. useful spells for real players, mark and recall. And if you need somewhere to drop all ur loot might i suggest cleaning out Andersrath (sp) its north of Gnaar mok. Lots of storage romm and a sweet master bedroom and study :)
