ilikeme151
Ok, I was reading my "Pocket Guide to the Empire" and I was wondering if there was any way that someone could either teach me or go ahead and make a mod to include the myriad of races from within that book. The neighboring continents to Tamriel have various and sundry creatures and peoples. I think it would be pretty awesome to play as one, if not see a few used as NPCs, along the Anvil/Leyawiin waterfront. These cities border the Seas, couldn't other nations interact with them. Here are some I'd like to do, see, or play asSload - The Sluglike inhabitants of ThrasMaormer - The Wizardly denizens of PyandoneaTsaesci - The Akaviri "Snakemen"The Other Denizens of Akavir - Tang Mo Monkeys, Kamal Snow Demons, and Ka Po'Tun Tiger DragonsFalmer - Snow Elves mentioned in the Fall of the Snow PrinceDwemer - We all know about them On top of creating these races to play in Oblivion, why not include them as small NPC "nests" or guilds. Build a couple of new small dungeons close to places they would reside. The Dwemer near Morrowind, the Falmer near Skyrim and the north, the Akaviri peoples near the eastern sea cities, the Maormer near the western cities, and the Sload wherever. It would be neat to find out that the Count/Countess of the respective cities has a new problem. Upon enquiring about this problem, the player finds out that the Count/Countess has found out that a small invasion force of whichever race has appeared in Oblivion. It is up to the player to defend Cyrodiil. The Count/Countess will provide the player the general location of the invasion camp to either negotiate or eradicate the invaders. When the player arrives at the stated location he is ambushed (but not attacked) and told to put up his weapons and talk peacably. About 15-30 of whichever race should be present to show a decently sized recon force within a 2 story/3 story dungeon/fort/camp/whathaveyou. The leader of the force will inform the player that they are a recon force for their respective lands. The leader of the invaders will give the player two choices, join them or die. If the player joins them, he/she can have access to foreign weapons and armor as well as a chance to play a few new quests. Effectively a quest where the player would have to sabotage certain important parts of the empire and allow a more easy invasion for the foreigners. The first order of business would be to make an underground rebellion in a city, stirring up unrest so the gaurds have thei hands full. COntinuing in this vein the player would have to slowly strip away the rank/privileges/and trust of the guards of said town by ratting indiscretions out, turning them against one another, or planting objects where the commander can find them. Eventually the object would be to leave the only defense of the city to the commander, the bodygaurd of the count/countess and the count/countess themselves. ONce this is done it would be time for invasion day. If the insurrections of the first quests were highly successful the foreigners would have little trouble invading. Once this has occurred the once Empire friendly town would now be a base of operations and a settlement for a foreign empire. The 15-30 person recon force would take up residence alongside the current townsfolk, filling positions of guards, smiths, and armorers. The count/countess would be imprisoned and the Emperor would have to send legionaires to defeat this settlement. (all of this would have to be done following the main quest, or when it was about over). To continue this, the foreign base of operations would randomly get new troops numbering around 10 who would arrive and go attack a close city. Before they got there a legion force would have to come stop them. If the player happened across this battle the legion commander would ask the player whose side he was on and fight with that side. This would go on until the player decided to approach either the Emperor (if it's the end of the game) or the head of the Legion in the IMperial City with a desire to help oust the foreigners. Here a new quest line could begin. It's a tall order and I have no modding talents. If anyone wants to pick this up please do. I can give you all the story help you need but the rest (the art, the modwork, the voices, etc) would have to be up to you. Thanks.
