SpellAndShield
It was her fault that all of the bad things happened to Redcliffe including her husband being poisoned, yet she doesn't feel any real remorse and thinks she was right about it all, incorrectly putting all the blame on Jowan. To this end, as much as I try to do the 'good' thing on a 'good' playthrough, i.e. going to the Circle to get lyrium for the ritual to save the entire family, when playing a more neutral or evil character there is no more satisfying feeling that knocking that female dog out as she begs for the life of her abomination son. Man, I hate her. Anyone else feel this way?
RustyBlade
Well... If I were to overlook the fact that she is an ignorant, pompous, self-serving, double-dealing, hypocritical, religious fanatic wannabe it might be possible for me to like her - but I can't overlook that. The fact that someone with such a holier than thou attitude will so quickly throw her religious beliefs aside and turn to blood magic proves to me that she is unworthy of compassion, much less my help. Were it not for the fact that her husband is a good man whose help I must have, her offspring would be terminated out of compassion for the rest of the world as it is fairly clear that her attitudes and actions are rubbing off on Connor. The circle should straighten him out (or make him tranquil) so the gene pool will hopefully be spared any more damage. With that said, I wouldn't kick her out of bed for eating crackers (as long as she kept her mouth shut.)
Alehazar
Much for the same reasons as RustyBlade, I really don't like Lady Isolde. But there are other characters in the game that make her look like a really nice lady. I really dislike Queen Anora. I put my life on the line to save her and she stabs me in the back during the Landsmeet. Than that whimp Alistair sends her to the tower; I would have struck her down like her dad, had the option been present. I also dislike Alistair more than Isolde. He flat-out refuses to make tough decisions, making everything my responsibility. And when I do make the tough decisions, he has the gall to lecture me, that my choices are so wrong. What an annoying self-righteous and cowardly pr*ck he is. I also dislike Pyral Harrowmont and Prince Bhelen, whenever I'm playing a Noble Dwarf. I would've liked the option to let Orzammar deteriorate into Civil War upon the refusal of Dulin Forender and Vartag Gavorn to take me directly to their bosses, instead of sending me on the run-around.Still with Isolde I can have some sympathy for her as she is trying to protect her only child -nearly destroying the entire town of Redcliffe in the process- whereas Anora is willing to sacrifice the entire nation to support her deranged father. Even though her behaviour is sadly inconsistent -extreme piety versus resorting to bloodmagic to save her child- I can only admire her for willing to die to save her child and sort of atone for her actions. Even though I find Isolde's blind religious nature rather offensive, Anora's willingness to support her father in his zealous effort to keep the Orlesians -and the Grey Wardens- out, even if that means the annihilation of everything he is trying to preserve, is harder to swallow than Isolde religious claptrap.I really would've liked to let Loghain try and save his precious Ferelden if the Landsmeet would decide in his favor; get a cinematic of Loghain defeating the Archdemon and then showing the bafflement on his face when he'd see the dragon reborn in the nearest Darkspawn, then slowly a fade out and a message that Ferelden is laid to Waste. Even funnier when the Orlesians then manage to quell the Blight and seize Ferelden.Anyway, I'm seriously digressing.Lady Isolde? Of the characters that I tend to dislike, she'd be on number 10 -on a scale of 1 through 10. Numbers 1 and 2, Anora and Alistair.
ell46
I can't stand her because of her voice  nothing really game related, for some reason I hate several characters in DAO and DAA for the same reason, the voices/accents not sure which make my ears scream. When it comes to hating people for the character personality, that changes according to what mood I'm in when I play, shame you can't just hack into some characters. Kamajii
Do I hate her? EH.. Its not that I hate her. I think she could use a good knock upside the head for being so stupid. I want to say that she was simply trying to protect Connor, that I understand her feelings. I know my mother would move heaven and hell to protect me. But let's face it, she wasn't trying to protect him or anyone else. She wasn't being a mother at all. She was being selfish. She didn't want her little baby to go away leaving her all alone. He would have been taken to the circle where he can be taught to control his abilities so that this very situation didn't happen. Instead she cost the lives of all, but a handful of people left in the castle and town, to be sacrificed for her own stupidity. Wow, when I play the game I feel sorry for her but when I stop and think about it she just makes me angry. I think I'ma kill her now in my next play through. :ninja:
DarkeWolf
I cannot honestly say that I "hate" her. I mean...she's a figment of somebody's imagination.However.... along with all the things already said about her, if she hadnt been so self centered that she'd not sent Alistair to the temple as a boy, maybe I wouldn't have had to deal with him being such a clingy, whiny, basterd who's always crying about this and that.Me personally, I was playing a Cousland noble the first time I met her. The very first time she talked down to me in Redcliffe village, I would have put her square in her place about talking like that to those of higher station than she. She strikes me as the type that thinks that she's always right, that nothing she does is wrong, and when it is, she blames somebody else for it, rather than see that she was the one at fault. She strikes me as selfish, arrogant, a pampered little baby who's not ready for adult life, much less that of a noble. And whenever the option presents itself, I strike her...right across the jaw, lol. Yes, her voice is very annoying, and she talks far too much. What the heck is it that they teach these orlesian women that makes the majority of them so damned annoying? And so talkative!? My sister in law...while still annoying, at least kept her responses...short. I agree. If it wasnt for Eamon, I'd probably throw her in the cell right next to Jowan. And that would be the kindest option that I'd choose. I can think of others :DI would still save Connor tho. Simply for the implication that not all those who are possessed by demons are a lost cause. The Circle of Magi would greatly benefit from such knowlege, and possibly save the lives of many young mages.

I just finished saving redcliffe and Connor on my first play through as a human noble and was sad to see that I couldn't put her in her place. I'm a Cousland. A potential Teyrna and she, an Arlessa dares speak to me in such a tone? :verymad:
