I have made that change in my article as that is exactly where I have it in mine. You might try moving it first that is a very simple function and will take seconds instead of hours. Let me know if that works or not.

BTW, you get the credit for suggesting the change in the article - Thanks.

Does the vanilla game with the original start work?

Possible problems - be sure you have the latest patch. Be sure you have OBSE and are starting it instead of Oblivion (you will need to reinstall it after the reinstall procedure)

Are you using any other mods? Especially anything that changes anything at the beginning.

From the readme:

Known Issues

Loading this Mod while still doing the Tutorial quest could cause problems. DON'T DO IT! It would probably stop many of the events happening, and you would end up getting stuck.

Requirements

This mod requires the latest Oblivion patch (v1.2) to run properly. Thats simply because I made it using the newest construction set version.

Thanks to Reve23 for being very, very persistent in getting the mod to work and discovering this.

If you wish to arrive in Leyawiin you will require OBSE V0014 as well as the Better Cities LEYAWIIN mod. If you do not have either of the the mod will run as normal.

Thanks for the help, I really appreciate it.

And could you please point me in the right direction in getting OBSE. I completely forgot about that.

And just moving the file didn't work. Apparently it can't find the .exe or something.

And also, yes, the vanilla game works fine.

And I need to stop using and so much...

OBSE

Instructions:

# Download Oblivion Script Extender (OBSE) to the Oblivion folder

# Extract it there. (It will add a folder containing the OBSE files.)

Copy the following up into the Oblivion folder: "obse_1_2_416.dll", "obse_editor_1_2.dll", and "obse_loader.exe." If you use the Steam version, move "obse_steam_loader.dll" as well.
