Slap Isolde

Ok, so a long time ago, there was a slap Morrigan mod. http://social.bioware.com/project/1281/

it basically gave you a dialog option when talking to her, that would let you play a cutscene where you could slap her. Except perhaps have the camera view a bit closer in.

I was wondering if anybody would find it worth their time and effort to make a mod like this, except for Lady Isolde, Arle Eamon's wife.

There's just so many of us that find this woman beyond tolerance, for so many different reasons. And granted...there's a good deal of satisfaction in being able to knock her out. But yeah, being able to slap her once in a while would be quite satisfying as well.

 

Maybe even add in the option to knock her out in her final dialogs?

Who should be able to slap her? Humans? Dwarves? Elves? Nobles only? Should it be limited to some so that story would make sense or open to all for random "justice"?

Sometimes a fictional character just needs to be put in its place, regardless of gender.

As you can see, its right before Bann Teagan makes it clear to Isolde that she's the root cause. By adding in the option for the player to slap or continue we maintain the original structure and to keep the flow we link Bann Teagan's original line to the slap addition in order to really drive home that slap.

I dont think that the gratification of slapping her should be limited to just any type. I mean, a player doesnt like her, not necessarily the character :wink:

 

Those would both be good spots for it. So would the comment in redcliffe village where she makes her comment to alistair. Perhaps break that scene so that she makes her little quip at him, slap her, then he makes his return comment. OR, he makes his comment, then slap her. So she knows WHO she's getting put into place by.

 

I'll take a couple screenies and post.

But that's just not the same. That's the equivalent of a shot at a hospital to make a hostile patient more cooperative.

And finally we can achieve the most important slap scene and make it fit by slicing a piece of Isolde's voice overs to make it appear as a new line completely.

And that should cover every area where she needs a good smack giving us a total of 4-6 potential slaps. Of course some are gender specific and a few are locked to nobles only. But everyone should have a chance to smack her at least once.

Daaaang, you are REALLY getting into this! Hahaha, good stuff so far!

On that last set you posted, in light of some of the other crap that we go thru during this game, I myself would find it more satisfying to finally be able to say "I don't take orders from you!"

 

Not that I'm really mentioning it as part of the mod, because I know what a PAIN it is to try to track down animations. But I think it would be really funny if a person could add some of her facial expressions from the conversation with Conner when he's telling her that she doesn't think.

I kinda like this one! http://www.dragonagenexus.com/imageshare/image.php?id=1759 which would be really funny for a post-slap, if it was possible to put her hand up to her face like she was rubbing her cheek.

Like I said, I know what a pain all that would be to track down, but just saying that I think it would be funny.

 

Edit- actually, now that I think about it, I'm definitely not recommending that as part of the scene, as that's probably a bink file, and would be murder to try to find what they used in that, since it's not editable.

 

Edit2- I think that at some point in time, it needs to be said. "Somebody needs to slap some sense into you!"

Feh, I think I'll go ahead and work on this mod this afternoon. I've already got the dialogue in place for the screneshots after all. I need a break from working on my other cutscenes. One of them is giving my toolset trouble and making it lock up from time to time anyways.

 

Edit: Anyone have a savefile right before Isolde rushes into the village to retrieve Teagan and another right before we fight in the main room of the castle that I could have?

even if just as a start - to simply allow the slap during any part of dialogue without affecting the main plot/mission

like one of those...you know those dialogue options where you can keep asking the question over and over, yeah, one of those

 

perhaps eventually the choice to kill her she tries to stop you from killing connor, chop instead of tiger uppercut
