I've run into a not so good problem, related to some problems which already have been mentioned in this forum but not exactly what has happened to me (which is why I opened this thread here). I read the rules of the forum and the FAQ-Thread, so I think in this case it is fine that I open up a new thread for it. Situation:I'm now at the end of the main quest and want to send Fawkes in to activate the purifier. He always says the "I'm sorry, companion, but no..."-line when I ask him to do it. On the other hand when I've talked to Sarah Lyons and said I wanted to do it, he accepts (Ah, my radiation immunity...-line), but still Sarah is the one who goes into the chamber and dies if I cycle the airlock. I gave the Virus from Pres. Eden to Elder Lyons in the conversation. My total playing time is about 85 hours at the moment, if that is of any interest for this issue. After the ending-sequence there is just the credits-part of the original game, I'm not taken to the Broken Steel-Addon as it should be if my sources on the internet are correct. I'm using version 1.7 of course, UK patch. What I've already tried:-Finishing the game, then loading an older safe in the Brotherhood Lab/Pentagon, getting the quest again and finishing it-Tried moving the Broken Steel Mod to various positions in FOMM-Load-Order, even to the end without helping the issue.-Disabling the Broken Steel Mod (in FOMM), saving, quickloading, activating again (also in FOMM), saving, quickloading. It gets initialized again (saying the level cap was lifted to LVL 30) but the problem stays the same.-Going into an own mod-file I've been putting together and giving the "Radiation immunity"-Topic a higher priority than the "I'm sorry..."-line, lifted it to 86 (85 is the "no" option), still with no desired result.-Trying the "Unofficial Fallout 3 Patch"-Package (without Mothership Zeta as I don't have it) to no avail.-Reinstalling the 1.7 patch, loading save, saving, reloading save... Opening up my mod-file (together with Fallout3.esm and BrokenSteel) and checking into the Topic brought up an error "Scripts: Trying to access local variable 32 in script 'MQ11Script' -- variable not found". My investigation showed, that this variable is used at the exact point where I'm stuck. The affected script reads as follows: set MQ11.DLC03FollowTalk to -1SetObjectiveCompleted MQ11 65 1SetStage MQ11 61set MQ11.Code to 2set MQ11.DLC03FollowerCode to 1set EndingBinks.EndDeath to 2MQ08FawkesREF.EVPMQ01SarahRef.EVP Also he has problem with the DLC03FollowTalk, showing me this: "Unknown variable or function 'DLC03FollowTalk'. What has gone wrong there? Did I miss a patch? Wrong patch? Did someone of you have this problem also? I clicked myself through this forum til exhaustion and couldn't find a solution for it yet. Additional information:Since I've only recently began to play Fallout I had the chance to buy the main game and the add-ons together, so I installed the main game, then Operation: Anchorage & The Pitt and finally Broken Steel & Point Lookout (just for your information) and THEN I started playing (I hope this didn't trigger the "error" ?). I'm running a few mods but I doubt one of it is troublesome. Deactivating everything but the official ESM's/ESP's fixed the problem. Now I'll have a look into which MOD is causing the trouble and post the info here, so that this thread has a bit of use left ;). Please don't ban me for this :whistling: . Edit:My shame has to rise to another level ;). It was my own MOD and I could disable the error. Somehow all the original scripts got in the .mod-file (don't know how this happened) and caused a override of the patches and original game code, so no wonders there had to be an error sooner or later.
