Assassintjmtjm Posted August 13, 2014 Share Posted August 13, 2014 Hey, So after I downloaded a whole mess of mods I started having crashing issues. I pinpointed it to this particular mod after uninstalling (By the way I'm using NMM) and then slowly re-installed mods by their general order of when I installed them. Has anyone else had these problems and if you have, did you find a solution? If anyone knows about it I would be very appreciative. Thanks in advance. Slangens Posted August 13, 2014 Share Posted August 13, 2014 What kind of 'crash' is it you're having?Does the game freeze and become unresponsive, or does it simply quit without notice, leaving you at your blank desktop?When does the game crash? right after start, so you can't even see the loading screen? When it's going to the main menu? Right when you load a save, or do you even have some time playing before it crashes?You might consider launching the game in windowed mode, and, while the game is running, check the memory usage by starting the windows task manager. Assassintjmtjm Posted August 13, 2014 Author Share Posted August 13, 2014 So essentially, what happens is that I saved outside of the sewer and when I get to Vilvren or fight the Slaughterfish right in front of the dock the game freezes. More importantly when I try to go further than Vilvren the outer cells(?) start to load and then my game freezes, crashes to black and then Windows tells me that it crashed. Also another strange note It might not be the texture pack. Currently looking into the potential causes (which mod might be doing this). I'll update again as soon as possible. It commonly seems to trigger during combat, more specifically when someones weapon connects with a person. Okay, this should be the final edit. It turns out that the cause wasn't the texture pack at all. it was the Unofficial Elder Scrolls Patch, I don't know how exactly it's conflicting with other mods but I'm re-downloading all of my other mods to see if any other crashes happen. and if not then I'll ask someone over at their official mod forum/page for help. but if anyone here knows how to fix this then I'll be amazingly grateful!
