Question is how the heck to change the hair style in toolset,, not sure what options from SG_APPEARANCE is ... ( if it's there lol )

Hmm that one useful tho, but Im not looking for that, I simply wanna change the hair style of my character ( char already created ofc ) And I can't find what option Is for the hair style in the .das file ( In toolset )

Somewhere at SG_PLAYERCHAR -> SG_PLAYERCHAR_CHAR -> SG_APPEARANCE should be no ? But the values are only as numbers and that's why Im confused :S

The link that Bru provided is your best bet. There's a couple of other methods, but they have issues with shapeshifting. especially the Fade shapeshifting.

The easiest way to do it would be to load the character up in character creator, then just change the hairstyle, and the name. And then run it til you can get to a savegame, then use the method in the tute.

IF you know the name of the hairstyle, you can TRY to load up your toon's .chr file (should be located in documents/bioware/dragon age/ Pre-Release Characters. if not, then you're gonna have to do a windows search for it, as I dont know the alternate location for those files...sorry  )

The .chr file is the file that contains all the morph info and such, about when the character was created.

I'm not sure if this will work or not. I havent ever tried it. You may have to reload the savegame and create a new savegame for it go into effect, as the game doesnt like to realize changes made that arent loaded up in the saves....ESPECIALLY regarding characters (PC or NPC).

Another method, is to take all the information that is in your character's .mop file (tho I have NEVER been able to locate that file :verymad: ) and create a new morph, save the morph, and then throw that morph name into the save file. I cant really recommend that method, as... like I said, I've never been able to find that file, and B) Since I've never been able to find it, I'm not sure what the recognizable filename structure is, for PC morphs.

If you actually find the file tho... making a morph in the toolset is VERY different than making one in the character creator. Its drop down menus, numeric values, and file browsing. not sliders.

Best bet is the tute. Good luck!

I wish that I could say that there was anything simple about modding this game. Unfortunately.... a lot of it isn't. Its actually a lot more complex than what many of us are used to. And that darned toolset definitely has a learning curve to it.

Anyways. No problem, and good luck, hope you get your character looking as you would like him/her to!
