Well, the BETA has finally been released. I've been waiting all day for it and just as I though it wouldn't happen on time, BAM, there it is. The download was fast as well.

 

My first impressions were just... shock, awe and amazement. They've really upped the graphics and models and the new looks of weapons are great. The game modes and fast paced and fun and the new unlock system is great.

 

Of course, armor abilities are the thing people have been looking forward to the most. And they are GREAT. There are:

 

Scout: Ability to sprint for a short time.

Jetpack: Obvious, this allows you to fly around for a short time.

ArmorLock: Crouch down and become invincible for a bit.

Stealth: Makes you invisible for a while, and the slower you move, the longer you're cloaked.

 

All of these have their own handicaps as well. Using armor locks means you can't move while Stealth creates random dots on your radar, similar to Halo 3s scrambler.

 

All in all, Reach multiplayer is a fresh new take of the epic Halo 3 multiplayer, even rivaling CoD.

 

 

So, what do you think?

I think they ripped the idea for the armor modes from Crysis.

Think:

As for rivalling CoD, I think anything does. CoD's multiplayer was boring, unimpressive & repetitive.

You want a fairly excellent multiplayer experience?? Try Bad Company 2.

Well, those aren't all the abilities, there are gonna be more in the final game. As for it rivaling CoD, CoD4s multiplayer was the best of its time.

 

Anyway, I'm getting BC2 for my birthday.

just been playing it you can tell its a beta lol

 

all the weapons need a big overhaul.... some are way to slow ect and others are way to powerful

 

also needs a spawn sheild

 

assassin kills need a alot of work they are too slow and leave you open for a easy kill

 

good points are...... looks nice and runs at a good speed :)

But they look cool and humiliate your opponent! I think they're fine. I managed to pull one off with another guy shooting at me.

 

 

Oh, by the way, has anyone else been having problems with the servers? I couldn't get into a match for almost an hour and my armor, which Ive bought stuff for, keeps going back to default, but with the Scout shoulders... :blink:

I like the BR much more now. And the Needle Rifle is awesome. I cannot wait for the game to come out. But from looking at File Share I only can see pictures and videos be uploaded only. I hope the official game will add maps and game variants like in Halo 3. I always am a scout but if it is Elite Slayer I am a Zealot.
