Ah, another problem, when I open the body texture dds in Gimp the same as I do a face texture and do everything that works for the face texture with the body texture I run into the problem that unlike the face texture it doesn't show up in the game?

............................ why? ................................... always gonna be something but I'm still having fun xD

Well,,, I'm not sure your question? I load it in Gimp and save it as dds after adding mapping, then I open the upper body in tes construction and it doesn't show up data/textures/characters/vexend/female/upperbodyect.dds so... IDK sorry I'm not sure what you mean?

How are you loading the texture? You have to have a race record's body data pointing to that texture.

Is it not showing up in TESCS? Is that what you are concerned about? I am trying to figure out whether you have created a plugin that is supposed to add a race that loads this texture...or I do not understand what your trouble is right now. Also, the texture paths can start at "Textures", instead of "Data".

Well basically I take someone elses texture and modify the color then open... another race in CS and try to add the texture to it, then open the game and nothing at all happens. Like nothings different at all and yes I saved in CS too. lol and I can do this very thing with any face texture I can add a kajjat face to an imperial for instance if I wanted. ( however you spell Kahjaat )

Are you editing vanilla races? Do you have BSA Redirection setup in OBMM or something?

Edit: The quickest way to modify records' texture paths by using TES4Edit. (Don't modify the Oblivion.esm file.) Things not showing up sounds like an archive invalidation problem if you are simply creating a new plugin with overrides for the vanilla races. For simplicity and testing, you can, for now, rename the textures to overwrite the vanilla textures. Once you are satisfied with them, you could then rename them and make a plugin for them and whatnot.

IDK I unpacked BSA I doubt it lol why is there supposed to be a process I have to go through to add the body texture to the Nif file like should I add it in Nifscope after doing all the nescessary things within blender ect. I know how to add dds to a NIF should I do that? ( like you do weapons )

No, that is now how loading body textures works. You need to create a race record that references the new textures. Have you created a plugin with the new race that has body data pointing to your new textures? Do all of the body texture you created have normal maps?

Yes normal maps, I created a new plugin, file/tools then resave with new IDs and I check the esp in oblivion the head shows up but what's funny is the body has not even changed a bit I'm gonna try it again with a different race plugin brb and maybe try what you mentioned about the location.

Only the head is showing up...? I suggest putting all of these records for this race (retex) you are doing in a new folder, since this is not a simple replacer. Remember to copy over the files you have not created yourself (i.e., the age textures for the face.)
