Nope... I even opened it with it's original race I'm just gonna go to the tuts again thank you. It's probably what you are saying but your alot more advanced then me, sounds like chinese xD ttyl. thank for all your help!

Only the head is showing up...? I suggest putting all of these records for this race (retex) you are doing in a new folder, since this is not a simple replacer. Remember to copy over the files you have not created yourself (i.e., the age textures for the face.)

Let me take a gander at this from the perspective of somebody who also has no idea what the hell I'm doing.

I'm pretty sure that what he's doing is simply opening the color maps of the body, and editing them in GIMP. That is, doing a complete replacement of the existing texture and saving his recolors and edits using the original file name so that it overrides the vanilla texture. And that's ALL he's doing. No changing of texture paths in NifSkope, etc, nothing else besides editing the body texture dds files in GIMP.

Does that help you figure out what the problem might be, Tom? I can lend assistance at translating N00bspeak since I am one myself, but when it comes to diagnosing complexities... FAIL!

My guess here is that the NIF with the body mesh is still using a different texture, not the one you edited, and that's why there's no change in the game. You may be editing the wrong dds, if that method is what you're going to use for this. Personally I think you're better off saving your new colored skin with a different name and then opening the mesh in NifSkope and changing the texture to point to your new creation. That way at least you know precisely which dds the mesh is using.

Body textures are not loaded through direct file path association, hard coding.

IDK but I opened it in Nifscope but it comes out all front 2 the side, but it still comes out. ( atleast ) I also copied the folder and pasted it on my desktop then renamed it upperbodyfemale as it was originally. Overwrit it and it still came out lopsided in Nifscope.

I'm gonna go see if it works in Oblivion overwriteing the original. Brb ... nope didn't work ... ok guys I just sent you here I don't know if I 'll be back 4 awhile gonna go search more on this ttyouzlata! thnx again! hopfully we'll get 2 the bottom of this! I'd kinda like 2 know what you guys do exactly 4 upperbodyfemale.dds? ... The only thing I can think is maybe it's because of HGEC or... Nvm I'm gonna search tuts now bye! :)

If you guys are fed up with this topic no matter we'll get 2 gether in the future perhaps. :)
