chaospearl
Does anyone happen to have the regular vanilla music files that come with Oblivion, still with the original file names? I mean the mp3 tracks that play in the background; the "explore" music and such. I'm not asking anyone to send me the files, no worries, I'd just like the names of them. I have tons of extra music in my Data folder, and it's been in my game so long I just don't remember anymore which tracks are the original ones that came with the game. I kinda need to know because some of the music I use in my personal game is taken from Nox Arcana CDs that I own, and as such, I obviously can't include any of that in mods or any other upload. I'm trying to pick out music for a mod and need to figure out which tracks came with the game, which are commercial music and off-limits, and which are extra packs I downloaded here that I could possibly use if I can get permissions from the artists\owners. Tomlong54210
If you did not install any replacers, can't you tell by the naming scheme. For example, the explore traces are explore 01, explore 02... There are no more than eight per environment, by default.

I don't have any replacers, but most of the files are named something similar -- I've got the explore01 stuff, but I also have a group called Exploring1 Exploring 2 Exploring 3, and so on, and one called adventure1 adventure2, and a whole lot that are background1 background 2 background 3... I'm not a terribly creative file namer. (coughs)

Look for more that match that naming scheme, not the single digit number, or the "-ing" tracks...
chaospearl
I found em, thank you very much. I also went through and renamed the files so now I can tell by looking where I got each pack, which ones are commercial, which are free-use, and which are property of the artist. You will have to uninstall them manually, but that is not much of a problem anymore, glad you got things sorted out. Happy gaming!- Tomlong54210
