Crashing on mission "Death from Above"

Hey there!

 

I'm currently doing the Death from Above quest, that involves getting some encrypted data from some enclave base or whatever.

And so, when i get the encrypted data, and exit the base, my game crashes. I then tried to save before exiting the base, on second attempt, but i crashed on saving.

So then i figured i must be crashing from saving my game, so i disabled auto save, completed the quest and tried to save again. Still crashes me.

 

If anyone knows what to do, please help. I'm playing the Game of the Year edition, on vista.

You can either roll back in your save games to a point in time where your save game is not corupted.

You can start a new game an duplicate it, not very easy, since I've been playing fer a year an never made it to that quest.

Maybe your charicter dies, Heck lots of times if my charicter gets blown to bits that's it, they are dead, an I delete all the save games, down load more mods, install them, fix them, test them, then keep going

A lot of folks get rid of some of the little coruptions by launching the game, load a save game, launch a mini nuke at yer feet, load the save game again before it auto loads by pressing ESC, Also you could just fast travel somewhere or exit a door, then spin the camera around an press ESC an load the save game again, then maybe /PCB , and save the game.

Experimental, turn off all mods, ignore the warning, teliport to the megaton bathroom (nothing in there) console /pcb (/pcb is short for purge cell buffer) Save the game, exit, turn on the mods, load the game, load the save game, then try again

 

Or

 

 

Never autosave, quicksave, or hit continue from the main load screen, then learn how to use FO3edit, in which case you wouldn't ever have this problem to start with.
