TG77lead
So I have FNV 4gb installed but i am still having crashes saying that i am out of memory when i actually use less than 2gb. My drivers are up to date and i don't have many mods. I have seen other threads on this topic before but I am still puzzled as to how I am to fix this. I'm not extremely knowledgeable when it comes to computers and such but I am not too bad with them. Please help, this is really annoying.
jet4571
Did you setup your shortcut for the 4gb? As in right click the fnv4gb.exe and select send to desktop/create shortcut, then right click and select properties on the shortcut and add the target info needed? Example is mine below. no bold is the target info for the 4gb and the rest is required for the game to be patched and running. "D:\Program Files\Games\SteamApps\common\Fallout New Vegas\fnv4gb.exe" -exe "D:\Program Files\Games\SteamApps\common\Fallout New Vegas\FalloutNV.exe" *editAlso are you starting the game from that shortcut or are you using another? for the patch to work you need the shortcut and start the game from it. If you need to change your load order you can use the launcher that came with the game and setup your load order then as soon as you get in and see the menu select quit. once out of the game your load order is set and you can use the shortcut to launch again and play. I'm really at my wits end.
RoyBatterian
You should post questions like this in the application's thread or it's likely the people that can help you the most won't see it. What OS are you using. What is your load order. What texture packs, if any, are you using.Where/when do you experience the crash. .

Sometimes the game slows down a bit before the crash so i atleast know something is going to happen but sometimes there is no warning.
RoyBatterian
Well your load order is broken for one thing, you should use LOOT or BOSS to try and fix it for now. It's likely that will fix your crashing issues. Other than that, I would hazard to guess it's FOOK causing out of memory issues.

As i said before i am not really keen on technical stuff like mod load orders. But non the less thank you very much.
