Stampede
When I was a kid, my dad brought home a computer game called Elvira 2: The Jaws of Cerberus. I am pretty sure it was not even sold in this country due to its content! (You must remember during apartheid, censorship was incredible.) It was a first person RPG, with beautifully drawn environments and monsters/people. The plot was that Elvira, your girlfriend (and gorgeous horror icon in real life...oh Cassandra Peterson, you and me were meant to be,) has been abducted by Cerberus, the 3 headed beast who guards the gates of hell! He has possessed the movie lot that Elvira was working on, causing all the props and costumes to come to life, as well has having numbers of demons inhabiting different areas. Highlights include: Opening a closet and having a mutilated security guard fall outBeing seduced and then torn apartFinding the satanic churchLooking up when you are in the satanic church...Finding a girls severed head in the dining room. It was on the main plate, she opens her eyes and smiles at you, blood pouring out her mouth. Spoiler:To give you an idea of how hardcore this game was, the final battle between you and Cerberus took place in a parking lot, a priest had to draw a perfect pentegram in blood and from there, you summoned and bound Cerberus himself, before duking it out with native american war weapons...and hacking out his heart. All your deaths were graphically depicted and included: decapitationimpalementburning to deathface melted off with acidthroat bitten outfrozen to deathcrushedtorn apartbrains bursting! And those were just a few...I wonder what sort of censorship rating it would receive now? As an RPG went, it was awesome!!! Quite non-linear and giving you the ability to pick up everything you see and wear clothes and use different items as weapons.
karkarinus
Can't say I've ever seen the game, but I distinctly remember the nipple-tassle dance scene in Elvira's film "Queen of Darkness" or "Queen of the Night" or something. I think I wore out the tape heads by watching it so many times!
