dissentuk Posted May 5, 2010 Share Posted May 5, 2010 a while back i though of a mod that was essentially a grotty bar that had the option for you to have organised fights with a caps reward. it never got more than a few posts and little interest because it seemed a little far fetched. then i found this mod : http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=12496 even though it is way way under developed it has the potential to be turned into a really great mod at the moment it lacks any form of entry, there are doors that lead to black rooms, the enemy selector is in a room with a firelurk that burns you as you aproach the computer, the environment needs a bit of attention plus the russian roulette and human vs human are non existent. you can fight a bhemoth, glowing one, centaur, supermutant, mirelurk king and a fire lurk which is pretty fun even though you have all you inventory. all it needs really is an enterance in the wasteland, human selector for fights and the option to emty your inventory for the human vs human fights. if anyone feels that this mod is worth developing further i would love to help in any way i could but if anyone out there who knows their stuff thinks that it would be easyer to go from the ground up inseted then let me know. my modding is very limited due to other stuff but it is somthing i plan to get into in a month or so. It was a class project and I ran out of time so left it incomplete. I would make a different esp and all for guns but I deleted fallout3 and gave away my cds after the class so I wouldn't have any way of testing them plus I don't really have time to do it or complete the colosseum. If someone plays around with the roach gun, make sure to mark the spawned roaches for delete on death, because they are static vars and after some shooting will clog the memory, maybe make a little timer which starts ticking on roach death and then deletes it so player can see the dead body for some time. for portal gun you basically need a blue and orange 3d portal model, then simply on hit with one mesh change players position to the other portals position + offset and delete portals , and portal gun would be complete. the colosseum comp vs comp fight worked far as I remember, when you enter the big hall, use the terminal on the wall to start fights. russian roulette didnt really work as I planned, you have to give the computer some time to pick up the gun and still its crappy. probably best if you start from scratch.. (I don't mind if you want to extend mine though.) the guns are fine, I think you can modify them instead of making new ones. If you don't understand how something works I'll try my best to help.
