not sure if this is possible but it would be nice for spells/armour that could replace parts of your body with other parts, for example turning your lower half spider, or making your arms wings?

It would be, but very impossible, or not, depening on the type.

 

You see, you can't change your characters skeleton, IIRC, so you'd have to stick to things that are like human parts. Spider pants are well out, but you could transform your characters lower body into that of a goat, a la Pan, by making them a set of pants you can't see in your inventory or take off. Fairly simple.
