Norinvaux
I'm wondering if it's possible to make a script to attach to a weapon (such as a gunblade) that makes the weapon shoot a spell (e.g. fireball) whenever the sword is used to attack. Basically, a script to make a gunblade shoot a fireball by simply swinging the blade. If this is in any way possible, could somebody make the script for me? I really need it for myself, and I have no experience scripting in the oblivion engine.

documn
I think it's possible. You could check out my full auto mod for a way to shoot, then maybe link it to your weapon swing sound or animation.http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=25513
Norinvaux
@ alonsomartinezSorry, but could you please only post something if it's relevant to the question? @documnYour mod looks good, but I don't think it's what I'm looking for. Thanks anyway!
kieranfoy
It's relevant to your post. You broke the rules. Alonso called you on it. That's perfectly relevant. Also, no, it's not. You could get around it by having a scripted effect that switchs the sword for a staff shaoed like a sword, and then back, or you could simly have a fire damage enchantment spell on it, or a scripted effect that adds a fireball spell to you when you have it equipped. Norinvaux
Holy crap I might be able to do it! Thank you documn, the script included in the full auto mod might make it actually somewhat possible to make a weapon that shoots a spell whenever it hits an enemy. Norinvaux
Wait... Maybe not. I re-wrote a simple script using many bits and pieces from the full auto mod's script, but I can't save the script because the CS script editor keeps saying "Script 'NORtestscript01', line 35:Syntax Error. Unknown command 'sin'."and wont save. Is there any sort of work-around for this problem, or did I miss a line of script. I'm still relatively new to oblivion scripting, and I have no idea what's wrong at the moment.
documn
Are you using OBSE? I'm pretty sure the script won't compile without it.
Norinvaux
I'm pretty new to scripting in the oblivion engine, how exactly do I use OBSE to edit scripts? I know how to use OBSE to run scripts when I actually play the game, but how do I use OBSE to actually edit scripts?
