New DLC: Darkspawn Chronicles

BioWare has given us a new DLC known as the Darkspawn Chronicles. It allows you to see the world from the darkspawn's perceptive and allows you to control your favourite enemies . This has nothing to do with the main canon so don't worry and there are tons of goodies (which means they'll overprices it  ). It also allows you for all those Morrigan and Alistair haters to vent your anger as you get to use ogres to punch them to a pulp.

Here is the official page: http://dragonage.bioware.com/addon/

And here is Q&A from GameSpot: http://au.gamespot.com/pc/rpg/dragonage/news.html?sid=6261320&om_act=convert&om_clk=newsfeatures&tag=newsfeatures;title;1&mode=previews

Edit: It is coming out on 18th of May

I won't be buying that but I'm sure some people will enjoy it. I just can't bring myself to play a mindless creature following orders; now if they were to allow me to play as the architect or the archdemon it would be a different story.

I have to agree with some other posts about buying this type of thing from them. They will never get around to fixing their mistakes and creating good solid content if the playerbase they have continue to buy the fluff such as this. I am sadly remembering the days before DLC became something you paid for, and developers still put a lot of thought into it. RTO wasn't the best DLC, but at least it was following the storyline of the game, and advancing it a little.

I thought this was an April Fool's Joke that I missed and was looking for the date on the website... But no, it's real. And I don't like it.

I've been thinking about this since last night and come to the conclusion I won't be buying it especially as I was disappointed with Awakening and only played it twice.

If you think about it, there will be no point in money as darkspawn don't do shopping and all wear the same stuff. No dialogue as they can't speak and even if they are the new breed that can (well sort of) what in heavens name are they going to talk about. No romance unless they chat up the brood mothers  I can't see there being any puzzles either as they don't have the intelligence to do them. After reading the advertising speel if you didn't survive the joining and are out to kill Alistair and  who? the party you have now  , the game won't last long will it besides which, I have no desire to kill Alistair or the other party members having spent so much time with them. The only people I would like to go back and knock the living daylights out of would be Leliana, Isold and Goldanna so it would be a very short game.

I'm sure DH will get it, because to him "it's just a game" anyone that plays a female and calls her 'Lippy Moo' obviously doesn't get emotionally involved with the game. If you don't get the snide meaning of Lippy Moo just ask

I am curious...do you know the scope of this game? Is it just about the siege of Denerim? How many hours is it, etc?

If it isn't too expensive I might get it...maybe.

I've just read the interview and watched the trailer on Gamespot here and I'm still not convinced I want to buy it.

It's no more expensive than the previous add-ons $5

5 bucks isn't much; could be fun.

Still, as whiny as Alistair is, I have problems having him sent off to die after picking Anora when I play as an evil male without a father...I don't know if I could really savour butchering some of the companions...well, I guess role playing takes on a new dimension here.
