Confused re: ZDF/Gatekiss/Combines Romance/etc

Okay, I'm going through and starting some fresh playthroughs. I'm starting several characters, a few of each sex, one from each origin, and they will be conducting different romances. Instead of changing my mods depending on the character I am playing, I want to have all the stuff I needed installed and done with.

I've been following the ZDF/Gatekiss/Combined Romance Scenes mods with great interest since they're taking such troubles to make them all compatible with one another. But at this point, there are so many addons and variations with the mods that I'm not entirely certain what all I should be downloading, as they've become rather tangled.

Here's what I want:

*All the Alistair changes, including the optional stuff (I'm planning to stick with game-canon in regards to which characters are het or bisexual and romance them accordingly)

*most of the ZDF optional files for Shale/Riordan/Cauthrien (don't need the Spanish translation)

*All the Morrigan fixes

I want the kiss at the gates IF the kisses have been tightened up so that the toons actually make contact; the "nuzzling" thing I was seeing in the videos just isn't working for me.

So, lemme test my understanding here:

If I download ZDF_For_Morrigan_Fix_Pack I shouldn't have to ALSO download Gatekiss, correct?

Assuming I download ZDF_For_Morrigan_Fix_Pack I do still have to download the Morrigan Restoration Patch?

Combined Romance Scenes (the ZDF compatible version) will also be compatible with both of these?

Then I have to download the rest of the ZDF optional files separately on top of these three?

Dialogue Tweaks on top of it all? Y/N

Am I missing anything, or do I have anything wrong?

(Please tell me when all you fine folk are done with your respective projects that you're going to compile an "All In One" fix pack, please?)

I know this is a bit confusing, and I apologize for that. These are four separate mods that can be made to work together quite easily. There are some overlapping files, but if you delete the file from ZDF, the other mods should work fine.

Gatekiss is built on ZDF_Base. Charsen used my party_events.dlg to add the kisses on, and he includes all the necessary script files that are also in ZDF_base as well as the changes needed for the kisses to be added. To use Gatekisses with ZDF, you need to delete party_events.dlg from the ZDF main directory and then install Gatekiss.

Morrigan Restoration Patch has only a couple of overlapping files. As long as you download either the compatible version OR just delete morrigan_main.dlg and cutscene_slideshow.dlg from ZDF's directory (found in the Morrigan folder and the Slideshow_fix folder in the ZDF directory. Terra_Ex's version of the slideshow fix also includes the fix in mine (male wardens getting the female epilogue card) but fixes issues with Morrigan's epilogue as well.

The current version Combined Romance Scenes was built on ZDF's alistair_main.dlg. Cmessaz made some additional fixes regarding Alistair, plus added options for additional tent scenes that were created by tmp7704 and Luchaire. All you have to do is delete my alistair_main.dlg from the "Alistair" folder and that should work fine. You can also delete 63010_party_camp_kiss_(race).cut/cub from the Alistair directory, but that shouldn't be necessary. I believe that Cmessaz used tmp7704's fixes for the human and the elf kiss as I did, though the dwarf kiss is my fix (and due to issues with the cutscene editor in that particular scene, my fix is less that optimal, but it's an improvement to what it was before). This is the vanilla game broken cutscene when Alistair propositions the warden. Since I believe the files are the same, it doesn't matter if the same files are in there twice.

Dialog tweaks is a matter of choice (I use it) but you need to use the most recent version. If you use the dazip version of Dialog tweaks, all you need to do is delete the non-DT compatible version of Leliana. If you use the manual version, you will also have to delete leliana.dlg from the DT 0.93c directory. If you decide to not use DT, then you need to delete the DT-compatible version of the Leliana folder. I did not do any of the fixes that DT makes though for my non-DT compatible Leliana fixes, though.

I know this is confusing. In order to make things as compatible as possible but not require people to use additional mods, I just am not sure any other way to do this. I am more than happy to walk people through getting them all up and working together. I tried to make my readme as complete as possible, but I do understand that it's still a bit daunting.

Also, i am nearing a new release of Gatekisses, hopefully tonight -- i am trying to include a new version that will be compatible with Polygamey too (fingers crossed). Like EJ said, mine is built off her party_events so you only need to have mine (since i include all of her great changes).

Okay, still struggling a bit with this. I don't know why, but these tangled files are confusing me; I'm not normally this dense. Here's what I downloaded:

Gatekisses Full Manual

ZDF_Addons_174a

Morrigan_Restoration_Patch_v109_Manual

Combined Romance Scenes (ZDF Already Installed version)

I THINK I've got it mostly worked out, but unless I missed it in one of the MANY MANY readme files involved in these various mods, I can't see this issue addresed:

party_events.dlb and party_events.dlg (dated 5/6/2010 in Morrigan Restoration Patch and 4/15/2010 in Gatekiss_Full)

Which do I keep?

There are also epilogue slideshow files in both the Morrigan Restoration Patch and Combined Romance Scenes. I just chose the latter for now, since I don't intend to romance Morrigan right away.

You keep the party_events.dlg from Gatekiss. It's a much more complete fix.

For the slide show fix, I believe that cmessaz's fixes some issues with Alistair's epilogues while Terra_Ex's fixes some issues with Morrigan's. I believe both include the fix to Zevran's issue with the male warden getting the female's card.
