SpellAndShield
warrior, just always assumed with all their abilitles that rogues would be superior... What would people say the main differences are?
roninsoul7
warriors focus more on str/dex, while rogues focus on dex/cun. The damage can be different depending on stat and skill placement.
DarkeWolf
for dual wielding, rogues have the advantage, especially if using daggers. They get a speed boost, plus backstab damage, which increases their DPS (damage per second).there's also the fact that many of us tend to equip warriors with swords, axes or maces... which have a slower swing speed.once DW mastery is achieved, that can be offset a little bit, by putting a dagger in the main hand, and a sword/axe/mace whatever, in the offhand. I have found that with a mace, momentum + 4 momentum runes...the speed is more or less the same as with a dagger...
jaysus
however sicne daggers are usually faster you do much more damage per second if you enchant those than with any other weapon, if you for example put those speed runes in a mace you might get the same speed but you might miss teh chance to equip these slots with damage runes or even paralyze ones...just imagine a three slot dagger with +5 dmg runes each and then add two mages with each a buff like fire or frost damage... thats +15dmg per hit + the mages buffrouges also create much more criticals than warriors, have backstab, bleeding, and can become quite evasive nevertheless your party needs a warrior or arcane warrior to tank for you, rouges though very evasive are not the best for that task since every time they get hit eventually they truly use a lot of their health best damage dealer: dual wield rouge or magebest tank: shield warrior or arcane mage (or shale)

Yeah, I guess in the vanilla game. I have a bunch of mods that severely weaken mages. In fact, with the ones I have their only use is for buffs and healing... Even a 200 spellpower barely gives you 100 points of damage say, on any elemental spell. Personall I think a 2h warrior is a better tank than a shield one; indominable makes you immune to all knock downs and stuns and you can get it early in the game, plus, two handed sweep is great crowd control... jaysus
yup i was assuming we talk about vanilla, modding changes all anyway :P but imo a tanks prupose is to stand, trake aggro and get hit, not to dish out damage and hence it doesnt really matter if he gets stunned or knocked down as long as the healers do their job, he has enough health and armor rating, and his aggro level stays intact, the indomidable skill imo is much more useful for damage dealers as they need to constantly be in action otherwise they become useless however you can check the statistics of your characters and see how much damage they did during your playtime in percent, dual rouges vastly rule here with usually around 30% and i use the dog mod hence i have 5 dudes dishing out damage but the rouges still do 1/3 of all damage instead of 1/5th, two hander and other warriors usually stay aorund 20% for me. just make sure the rouges dont accicently take aggro, those "reduce hostility" items help here, they do for healers too warrior skills are kinda boring too :P btw the dog is a great damage dealer too, he doesnt need much constitution, just some dexternity and loads of strength and he can wack anything in his path, i like to employ him to erase any mage or archer threads to my party in which he kinda excels, his "pawn the dude to the ground and rape his face" (sry forgot name) skill is also bloody incredible vs human opponents and anything else on two legs, i usually must be quite careful that he doesnt kill all the bosses while i dont watch :D

I concentrated on the dog in the last game and he was awesome, plus by using the extra dog slot thing, I could control him and leave my character to do her own thing. I'm planning a new game where she uses dual weapons as a warrior, but after reading this thread I'm not sure I want to now.
DarkeWolf
I actually HATE being on the receiving end of skills like that, against the like of werewolves and spiders. I had one of those nasty, disgusting lil Children hit me with that, while I had DAA installed. I imagined my character rolling over, to profusely vomit, after the experience. Anyway, still something cool about a character dual wielding two nice long swords or two skull crushers...it is just so damn spiky...hope someone makes the skull crusher a maul soon...
