Bolgo The Madd
Hey. The damage tables for weapons have uneven but not progressivly climbing increments.I doubt this was done for "flavor". It is unreasonable to have a weapon deal less damage respectively in one class then it does in another. And considering that the errors are found in the base numbers of the weapon type (iron and steel values), ALL weapons of specific types in a class (set) have an error. Simply - your silver shortsword does less damage in its set and does not equal its waraxe counterpart because there appears to be a spreadsheet error of Iron shortsword = 8 waraxe = 8 Steel shortsword = 9 (error) waraxe = 10 Silver shortsword = 11 (progressivly in error)waraxe = 12 All this will be fixed in my mod to provide a balance between blunt and blade weapons. Not changing the majority of original values, only increasing by 1 in areas where there appears to be an error that began between iron and steel. FYI - bows suffered the worse from this.I expect thats why so many people wanted faster bow shots... because they were NEVER doing the damage they were supposed to in a single hit. I hear ya! Since I use a bow as my primary weapon, I've installed a couple mods which increase the speed and damage of arrows (not drastically, but enough to make a difference).
