TerraEx
It's very rare for me to stop half way through a serious playthrough and begin again from scratch - simply don't have enough free time to justify throwing away 40+ hrs of a partial playthrough. I used to do stuff like that though, I'd conciously stop when I sensed that I was nearing the end of a game and start it all over again... maybe it was some way of artificially prolonging the game - knowing I always had something to come back to, I dunno... RustyBlade
if its just a matter of the appearance of your character, thats fairly easy to change, as well. Tho it DOES require using the toolset. http://www.dragonagenexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=449 I don't really consider that an option for my characters; I tend to think of each one as unique as created and plastic surgery (the toolset) is not an available medical skill for Thedans so if their looks don't please me by the time I hit Lothering they get kicked to the curb before Morrigan insults Alistair. That was funny! :D I used to be that way, but like I said, I have close to 200 characters started and it does get to a point you just really don't want to kill that darn ogre AGAIN. lol Oh I get through it fast enough, since I do still start new characters although not as often as I used to, now my fun is timing myself to see just how fast I can get to Lothering! And side quests, at this point, forget it. I'll bring out one of my games on ice and do them that way. **************** I did try being mean to both Cammen and Gheyna though, come to think of it, and recorded it, I still laugh when I watch this, I was really mean! I didn't save and went right back to being a hero after I got done though. Dragon Age Spoiler Equal Love Mod Cammen's Lament - Mean - Cammen I've never been mean to poor Cammen but today I thought I'd try the Equal Love mod out and it works with Cammen just as it's supposed to! You'll find the Equal Love mod by Kamajii here: http://www.dragonagenexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=429 Playlist: http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=0A2C0C5F8969C794 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zJwfj54ed2A Dragon Age Spoiler Cammen's Lament - Mean - Gheyna I've never been mean to Gheyna or Cammen but I could not resist this follow up to my previous video of being mean to Cammen! roninsoul7
I laughed, I laughed harder, then I laughed some more at the videos. I tried out the second option with my warden, though I used slightly different conversations. To the question at hand, I completed the game once with my very first warden, then on ever subsequent playthrough, I just never got around to finishing the game again. I did have fun with all the different decisions though, so I don't really consider it a loss.
elooocin
LOL yes like other people I do this so much, especially when new mods come out and I want to try something new! I have completed the game 5 timse but I have deleted too many others to count ... probably in the range of around 50 or so! Sometimes it just b/c I decided I don't like the looks of a character or that I don't like the way I was playing him/her (I always play it from an rp standpoint so if the character is not going well I just delete him/her) And, like 3 days I started playing again after being away from the game for over a month so I just deleted the 4 characters I had in the game to start fresh. And yesterday I was playing as a City Elf, warrior, and decided I missed playing as a mage b/c it had been so long and deleted my little elf after playing through the fade and tons of side quests while I was in Orzammar. I can be so fickle with them and get to be so hard to please wanting everything to go just perfectly! ____________ And lol @ the vids, with my evil mage who I played through Awakening too I had her ruin things with Cammen that way too :X Was so funny b/c I never liked that dude! But wow omg I never knew you could snag the girl :O I MUST do that with my next character!!!
RedVexHK
I have done that too... I have played thru once... but I often get miffed that something character wise is not as it should be.. Equally I've 4 times tried playing with a male character and would get so far before I was soo confused as how to play a guy I in frustration deleted him. (wish RL had that option.. LOL)

It's just role playing... In any event, these two, I will finish the game with...too much time and energy invested to go through it all again... VGfallout
i can absolutely relate to that, about gaming/sudden change as opposite gender, its strange i have gone through the campaign several times as a female, and simply....ended it suddenly each time, sometimes half way through or before the landsmeet its kind of cool to use an evil female character, something is captivating about that in a sense but i dont know, ive done the 'change of heart' thing a handful of timesnever thought about until i read what she said just now perhaps it -does- have to do with roleplaying? ive never been good at "getting into character", my older brother was a d&d guy and i used to stare at em like a confused mabari wondering how it is they could get so into it, staying up for weekends at a time (no they werent speed freaks - lol)....perhaps that has nothing to do with it and its just an internal emotional config...how strange. not a life-altering mystery but still i cant put my finger on it... in the end, it always 'feels better to me', to play as a male, its a weird comfort, perhaps i hate all women deep down inside!!! muahahah, jk interesting.... That is so odd to me ... though in terms of actual, literal rp I can understand since when I first started writing rp years ago I had a really hard time writing as a guy at first, but now it's no big deal. Though in a game it's usually so so so easy so I'm just curious how/why you find it difficult :) @Stardusk - you are a guy who plays as a girl? AWESOME! It is so rare to find guys who do that, omg! I love when I watch 4PP and the one guy on there usually always plays as a girl, which I love. I tried to get my husband to play as a girl after I beat and bribed him until finally he played DAO and got hooked. For this 2nd playthrough I tried everything to get him to play as a girl character for lulz but he refused! Booo!! So kudos to you for doing it :D My only issue, and why I have deleted male characters in the past, is that I hate all hair for them, even the emo crazy loon hair from the More Hairstyles pack. It was only when that Warden hair came out that I finally decided I was happy with my male character and played through with him!
