Music Problems

I recently decided to add some new music to my oblivion game, specifically the dungeon and battle music. When I enter a dungeon the music begins playing just fine, though once battle starts all my music cuts out, and even after battle no music will play. I have tried reverting to the old battle music but keeping the new dungeon music, but to no avail. I believe the issue may lie in the game switching between custom tracks, but I cannot figure out why it would cause so many problems. I don't know if anyone has experienced similar problems, or if anyone knows why this would happen, but I could really use some help. More than willing to post any additional info if it would help solve the problem.

maybe your music is the wrong file sort, make sure everything is in MP3 format
