Damius
I was running a lot more mods perfectly fine before i had the problem, and had to remove a lot of them. im running 115 files currently, ive had neerly 190 in the past working fine. Its more a case of finding mods and combinations that do or dont work. I had a load order (still have it saved into wrye bash) that did work and had no problems at 169, but that broke when i added one more and it refused to work even after a removed unlucky number 170. I could probably with enough time find mods that do work and bring the number running up. Edit- i seem to always post at the almost exact same time as you. i do have a few left over ones in there, ill do do that now.
Tomlong54210
Make sure you are rerunning BOSS, and then rebuilding the bashed patch EVERY time you change your load order. Edit: Not rebuilding the bashed patch can definitely cause crashes.
Damius
Did as you said and its gone away. I tested a few files and have had no problems, so as an experiment i activated ALL of my mods. still working if albeit really laggy. I had quite a few bsa files sitting in data from mods i got rid of, and a few esms from mods i stopped using. deleted them all. It appears the problem is fixed, thank you.
