LF someone to help collaborate on a mod

Im looking for someone to help with an idea thats been in the back of my mind for a while, unfornatley my CS skill is negligible at best, but, i have plenty of ideas and willing to give you most of the credit (i just want my creation to be realised)

 

The basic premise:

 

Trolls have been getting uppity around Bruma, countess comissions you to get her another artifact, but taking it from the troll caverns causes them to go mental, maybe some cutscenes and definetley one or two big dungeons. The pice de resistance im hoping wil be a climactic battle in Bruma so this may require knowledge of combat AIs and maybe trap mechanics (cos u just cant have enough boiling oil) .

 

also to make the mod kinda special theres gonna be some armour, troll armour, unique textures and if possible a litte regenrative abilities. Im planning for it to be a medium lenght Q (i.e not as long but hopefully as awesome as tears of the feind or lost spires, and much longer than most vanilla qs)

 

If you like the sound of this mod and are willing to work with a partner with many ideas but lacking in the technical department pls PM me and if your just a well wisher feel free to post ideas.

I don't know if your project will succeed. It is customary for the team lead to be one of the most skilled modders on the team. It sounds like you mainly work with pencils and papers and ideas. You need someone to do video which I imagine is sort of hard because almost no mods have video clips in them. You need animators, modelers, and texturers. You casually speak of boiling oil. That might take someone from the very top of his or her field more than a week. I am thinking that more than 95% of modders cannot do boiling oil.

 

In addition to the ordinary object placement, dungeon creation, and quest coding that many people would be competent to do in the CS, you will need custom armor created in Blender and Gimp and an armored troll creature mesh created which is harder than making a custom sword or custom armor.

 

Modders mod for fun and do it for free. They don't really want another boss. They have one of those at work. But if you are a coworker rather than a boss, they will be more accepting of you. I recommend that you start training so that you can acquire some of the technical skills required for your project. You might focus on some area such as the CS, Nifskope and Gimp, or Blender.

 

It sounds like your mod would be fun to play.

k then, ill take a lttle look see on blender and once again try and triumph over the tutorial on CS wiki (p.s by cutscenes i meant those parts where the character is immobiised and can only look, not do anyhting, even a relative noob like me knows that a video clip would be near impossible to put in)

 

looks like this is gonna take a lot longer than i anticipated (and that wasnt short to begin with)
