Rusery Posted May 9, 2010 Share Posted May 9, 2010 Ok guys i have an interesting discussion id like to bring up about the Blood Dragon armors for Mass Effect 2 and Dragon Age: Origins. I am wondering where Bioware has kept the particular mesh files for both of these armors when you download them from their respective places on the internet. What i am wanting to do is load up Mass Effects blood dragon armor file to the Dragon Age tool set and mod my own rendition with added textures and to make the Mass Effect 2 female blood dragon armor available to the dragon age community. I am aware that two people have already done this, however these people are impossible to get into contact with. The one person who has modded this file for export into Dragon Age: origins did it only for the male gender. The other does not respond to emails much or upload content to the community Anyhow get back to me with thoughts, questions and if im lucky answers to stuff mentioned here. I can realize this but as i mentioned before its been done and the remesh is sitting right here on the bioware social network as we speak. I would also not be recompiling the file just to swap it over and release. It is not illegal in any sense to use bioware files in conjunction with a toolset intended for modifications (one thinks of origional DA:O/ME2 BD armor mods). I have not boned up a recompiling file rules however, so of course its not a recomended thing to do for public release heh. I also know they "suggest" for you to take the content down if it resembles the origional idea too much. Bioware is actually very lax on those rules. Anyhow if anyone has any more suggestions on the location of the ME2 BDA file set and basic methods of recompiling im all ears. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Goojus Posted August 7, 2010 Share Posted August 7, 2010 I'm having trouble find the "ME2_BD_Armor\Bld_Armor\Male" folder... I've searched through my dragon age blood dragon armor folder but no sign at all of whatsoever of that being there. My Blood Dragon armor folder is named "dao_prc_promo_me" with a "blood_dragon_armor_module.dds" file and 2 folders Core and Module. gladly like some help on this, would really appreciate it ;) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
