FOOK2 and Fallout Wanders Edition

I looked at these both, watched gameplay of both. But as I see it, Fallout Wanders Edition is a tad bit better than FOOK2. FOOK2 isn't much of a overhaul, just adding ***loads of weapons and armors (A lot of which is completely aimed for people who want Modern Day/ Cold war soldier looks). The latest version adds some stuff, like the heavy-weapon downgrade when not using power armor but overall I think its lacks a little in the area of actual game rebalance. In which a lot of these features like Night Vision is present in other mods (One of the most over-done mods just like the twenty-thousand Glock and AK-47 mods). I don't think Fook2 is bad, but in terms of a "better" overhaul I went to Fallout Wanders Edition, for it not only adds items (which follow game lore well and not geared to "Real world soldier" looks entirely) but adds many changeable features which add a new feel to the game. I do recommend however using FOIP to use FOOK2 in conjunction with Fallout Wanderers Edition. And I will be kept warm by the flames by the over-protective fanboys.

I like em' both :) as you say, FWE is a great mod for altering specific gameplay issues and makes the game more realistic without having your very-good character cry everytime he shoots a Raider, and having you pay council taxes, power-, gas and the electrical bill for the house in Megaton. There a lots of options to choose from the FWE control panel in-game, and that's pretty awesome. Let's not forget that FWE is a collection of many, many mods. FOOK also contains some mods, but I couldn't get a complete list (help to provide such list, is welcome). I play 'em both togheter, but I'm not using FOIP, basically because I didn't really know what FOIP does, and my game seems to run as Brazil during the World Cups. Never had a problem. I like having lots and lots of weapon to choose between, and make so that seldom the Raiders use the same weapons. It's a big immersive thing for me; I don't really care for a giant wasteland with two handguns... FWE is the more gameplay-changing mod, as you say, and FOOK is the additional awesome-stuff bonanza. They go great together. I still hunger for more guns, so I added the 19th-20th century mod :)

FOIP is a compatibility community request collection, I recommend it if you want to use EVE (Energy Visuals Enhanced) with it.

I am using EVE. Still, no trouble

The weapon stats will not be balanced at all if you do not use FOIP. Beyond FWE's global damage multiplier (base x2) they also increased the damage of almost all weapons. Chinese assault rifles went from around 9~ damage to 20+, the crit chance multiplier is different etc. The rebalance tweaks are more than just increasing damage, because shotguns have NOT been changed to the same degree as other weapons (for balancing). Shotgun crits are also much smaller etc. I'm not sure how FOOK handles the rebalance of weapons relative to each other, but it is certain that it's much different from FWE.

Also, doesn't FOOK add a lot of CALIBR weapons, whose ammo won't be affected by weapon weight? Other stuff like that.
