tawney
I don't know what mod did this, but now the textures for my male Khajiits (not female) are completely messed up. They look horrible and patchy. Some parts of their torso are solid orange while others actually have the Khajiit fur pattern. Is there anything I can use to correct this for males only? I don't want to replace the textures for female Khajiits because I'm using a mod for that. But the males are the only problem. Argonian males and females aren't splotchy so I can't imagine why only the male Khajiits are... And they're my favorites!

Tomlong54210
That's the problem. You are using Robert's body mod and you have to use race mods that support your body replacers (or get patches to make them compatible.) Please post your load order with Wrye Bash. (Right-click on "File" and choose List mods.)

(Right-click on "File" and choose List mods.) Bash isn't working for me at the moment. But shouldn't it be the same list anyway? I think it shows the same mods except alphabetized or something. How come it's only the male Khajiits and not the other beast races with this problem?
Tomlong54210
Robert gives them new tail meshes. You will have an easier time using Robert's mod and other cosmetic mods with Wrye Bash working. Wrye Bash - http://sites.google.com/site/oblivionpoinfo/prep/wrye-bash <-- follow the setup steps here to start over Make sure Oblivion is installed outside of the Program Files folder if you are not using WinXP as well. tawney
The tail works fine and actually has all the texture on it. The problem is the torso and back skin, and some of the leg skin is all patchy. But it isn't this way for male Argonians. :ermm:
Tomlong54210
You have mods overwriting Robert's changes though... Uninstall Babe hair. Get your load order straight - http://sites.google.com/site/oblivionpoinfo/finishinstall/loadorder Get Wrye Bash working. You probably need to rebuild your bashed patch. (Deactivate it until you get Wrye Bash working.) What are these texture mods you installed? They have to be compatible with Robert's body (and HGEC...?) Popular Outdated Mods - http://sites.google.com/site/oblivionpoinfo/stabilization/outdatedmods <-- You are using a few, replace or get rid of them\ Uninstall Set Body for now Make sure you have BSA Redirection set in OBMM (Utilities > Archive invalidation.) razorpony
The problem lies with Roberts Male Body and a female replacer such as Exnems or HGEC fighting for the same meshes. In vanilla Oblivion, Khajiit males and females both use the FootFemale.DDS texture for the feet. I think originally Exnems body replacer modified both the footmale.dds and the footfemale.dds to be used as a plugingless replacer but that created problems when installing a male body replacer as well. Long story short, Roberts Male v4 includes an RTfootmale.dds that should be used for the male body parts. Here's how it breaks down: Male hands, feet, legs, torso all use RTFootMale.DDS Female feet, legs, and torso use FootFemale.DDSFemale hands use HandsFemale.DDS You'll either have to make an .esp that changes these settings or modify your MaleBodyReplacerV4.esp to use these textures properly. Bash won't help you here. I had the same problem when I installed Roberts and now it works like it should. If you don't know how to edit this in the construction set, PM me and I'll help you out. -Razorpony

Many users use Robert's male replacer and HGEC together. If all of them had to make this modification, the HGEC docs would mention it. Since HGEC and Exnem are plugin-less replacers, and Robert does not modify the paths for female textures, it should not cause problems. Plus, the OP is having trouble with male characters. I do not understand your response... Also, the FootFemale.dds file is not just for the feet. If you look at it in a DDS viewer or editing program, it contains textures for the whole body. Khajiit male and females do not both use that texture.
