Tomlong54210
The reason why uninstalling it did not work is because the LOD files generated by TES4LODGen had RAEVWD's enhanced data in them. You needed to rerun TES4LODGen. The best way to uninstall it for sure, is to delete the DLOD folder in the Data folder.

I know a lot of my posts tend to be TL;DR so let me try again, lol. I'm sorry. I had been using RAEVWD. When I installed that mod, I first activated the omod in OBMM, then I ran TES4LODGen. I read in another thread that RAEVWD can cause FPS slowdown, so I decided to uninstall it. To uninstall it, I first deactivated the omod in OBMM, and moved the file out of my Data folder. Then once it was deactivated, I ran TES4LODGen again to get rid of the LODs that included the RAEVWD data. That was when I ran into the issues with the two magic mods and came here to ask about load orders. The advice you gave me worked perfectly, and I was able to get TES4LODGen to run the way it's supposed to, thus completing my uninstallation of RAEVWD. However I didn't see any FPS improvement at all in my game after following that procedure. I thought RAEVWD was totally gone after deactivating it and running TES4LODGen after it was gone. Did I do something wrong?
Tomlong54210
If deleting your DLOD folder increases your performance, I will explain what I think the stimulus was. I just walked someone through the same situation. http://forums.bethsoft.com/index.php?/topic/1092092-help-tweaking-aevwd-lite/ <-- similar issue

I just walked someone through the same situation. http://forums.bethsoft.com/index.php?/topic/1092092-help-tweaking-aevwd-lite/ <-- similar issue Didn't work. :( Maybe I picked up 1 or 2 FPS but certainly no more. My game runs at a fairly steady 10 - 15 FPS outdoors, 8-10 in cities, and 20 - 25 in the Oblivion realm. Slows down to around 5 FPS if there's more than two NPCs in combat at once. It's slow but still playable. I was hoping to pick up to a steady 15, but no dice. Deleting the DLOD folder didn't change anything. I honestly think the bottleneck is my processor and the sheer number of mods I'm running, not the graphics. And I'm perfectly fine keeping my bad FPS so I don't have to sacrifice any more mods. The thing that frustrated me more was constant CTDs; there was a point when I was crashing every 30 minutes or so and it made me nuts. I uninstalled two gigantic quest mods (Windfall and Cybiades) and I'm back to only crashing every couple of hours, which is about as long as I play in one session anyway. I can't expect any better if I'm determined to run 300 mods on a two year old laptop.
Tomlong54210
Wow, if you are okay playing with that FPS range, fine. I was going to ask you to post your LO, but you are running an impressive number of mods, for any laptop...

I was going to ask you to post your LO, but you are running an impressive number of mods, for any laptop... Like I said, I'd be happier if I could get above 15 steadily, but it's not a big deal that I apparently can't unless I want to sacrifice mods. I'm not a power gamer; I tend to enjoy retro games more. Oblivion is the "latest" PC game I've ever played... the only one that even comes close is Civ IV. The other games I play are like, King's Quest VI, Myst, and Ultima Underworld Stygian Abyss. Stuff that was released in the early to mid 90s. That's what I'm used to, so the fact that I'm not getting the full-on Oblivion fast-paced combat experience doesn't bother me. My character doesn't even fight, for cat's sake. I've made it halfway through the game without ever equipping a weapon or an offensive spell. That's what my CM Partner is for -- she's about 20 levels higher than my PC so she can easily plow through anything that the leveled lists spawn. I did it that way for roleplay reasons, but it coincidentally means the FPS hit during combat isn't a problem. All I have to do is defend myself and stay out of her way. Usually I pick a spot somewhat above the fighting or aways back and stand in concealment, occasionally firing off a Pacify spell. If I ever hit a situation where there are too many enemies for her, I use a Command Humanoid spell that makes all the bandits turn on each other. It's like being a Confessor (hopefully you get the reference, lol). I cast the spell on the first enemy to come in range and he'll turn and fight the others to protect me. Approaching TL;DR again, sorry! I really appreciate all your time and assistance, Tom. Not only on this thread but everything else I've asked that you've had a ready answer for. Unfortunately, even you can't fix the fact that I play Oblivion on a laptop with a 2.3 Ghz processor. I can certainly post my LO if you think it'd help, but this isn't really a load order problem; there's nothing "causing" the issue, it's just the fact that 300 mods + laptop = bad FPS. Also, a ton of my mods are merged with Gecko so I don't think a LO would help you diagnose anything, because you have no way of knowing what's inside the esp file called "Merged Quests" or "Merged Clothing" or whatnot. I don't think anything's wrong with my LO anyhow. I run it through BOSS anytime I change anything, and the only manual re-ordering I do is because BOSS keeps putting Fuse's Snail Racing above the UOP which makes a huge grassy hill appear inside the snail pen. I just move Fuse down a few spots and the problem's solved.
Tomlong54210
Have you reported the Fuse Snail thing in the BOSS thread? Look at the bottom of the opening post on my thread. I cannot vouch for Albertine's guide for you, but my recommendations for optimization and stabilization are safe. PyFFI would help much, as would repacking BSAs with no compression. Try reading through that. I can look over your LO if you want. Maybe there are some mods that could be updated. I wouldn't know until I see it.
