evileva
Okay, here's the problem: everytime I try and save an edited save file using Facelite Exchange (whatever its called it's the 1.4.1 version) the program stalls then crashes without saving anything. I can access pretty much everything that I need to with the program, except for saving the files. And I've tried both running it as the Admin and in compatability mode for Vista and 7. I'm using Windows 7, fully updated and with the latest version of .net (needed it for another prgram entirely), but this is starting to annnoy me a little.Any ideas? Tomlong54210
Is that application installed in the same place as Oblivion? Did you try to run as admin, or run that program as admin?
evileva
Its installed in the Program files, not the same directory as Oblivion (though I did try that and it came back with an error saying it couldn't find the ini file in the program files...which is weird). I run it as an Admin because I can and always do since its hiding in the Program files (we all know how much windows loves to mess us around). Tomlong54210
Turn off the UAC on the folder in which that program is installed. It may not be getting permission to write or modify the save files. Edit: Have you tried to see if it works when you disable the UAC entirely?
evileva
Just tried that actually, and still no luck. I may end up giving up on this, but the programs such a nice one that used to work a while back. I'll just have to keep trying a few ways.
Tomlong54210
What are you using the tool for, if you do not mind my asking?
evileva
What are you using the tool for, if you do not mind my asking? At the time of crashes, trying to change the hair of one of my save files to a differant hair from a later installed mod (yeah I know I can console command it, but I was also looking into doing a few face morphs with the modeller once I get that installed). Thing is, it was even crashing when I was just changing the hair colour of the save file and not messing around with anything else. I have, as I was about to edit, found and solved the problem. Its called my own stupidity. I downloaded and installed an earlier version, sine the 1.4.1 (whatever the latest version is) wasn't Vista compatable (and probably not W7 either). The older version works fine, edits, saves, does a little dance and even supplies freshly baked humans to order (the last is a seemingly optional attachement with a shiny red button :whistling: )Sorry to have bothered people with it today. Though I think I'll now go and have a look at some modding tools, specifically mesh converting...
