Damage

I tend to prefer games where combat is a lot more deadly than what it is in Oblivion. I currently like the difficulaty slider where it is (at the center), but I want myself and others to be more vulnerable to damaging attacks. If I successfully strike someone, I want them to be hurt a lot and I want the same for my character if I am struck.

To that end, I want an easy way to increase damage from all damage related actions if possible. So that weapons/poisons/spells/whatever-else all do more. (Except perhaps fall damage from heights which I would like to keep the same.)

However, the TES Construction set is not very self-explanatory. I found some cryptic damage entries in the gameplay settings and I spent all evening yesterday changing one but it seemed to have no effect and I thought I'd ask for help before continuing.

I'd rather not go through each item and lift its damage potential since I don't know all of the items I'd need to take into account and there is obviously a lot of them. If there were a master damage option, that would be best. Or perhaps I could limit the health bonus that people get from attributes?

Lastly, I would like to make blocking more effective with this change, if that could easily be done as well. And perhaps also increase the sneak attack damage bonus slightly... but I'm sure about that one.

Any good information anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. :)

Check out better oblivion(my sig) packadge i think its 7 combat revamp. Veiw the readme to see all the changes. More or less it changes all weapons and so on to be more dmging on both sides. Also more or less the whole better oblivion suite makes the game more deadly, and in my mind intresting. Most of the credit goes to dubby though, she has done most of the packadges. I just have really worked on this thing called better oblivion gates, which i think i squite niffty =P.
