DakanX
Hi, I was just wondering if anyone might know how to import my oblivion character's face into Dragon Age.
DarkeWolf
to actually import it, isnt possible, as the two games use completly different mechanics for creating faces.Oblivion is capable of using multiple head meshes, with different texture files thrown on top of them. DA doesnt. It uses one mesh per race per gender, and a very tiny selection of skin tone (not facial features like Oblivion) texture files. The rest of it is done either with tints, or morph dialer settings to move the "bones" around in the mesh. Another thing, is that ears are part of the hair mesh in Oblivion, where they are part of the actual head in DA. K, I take that back... technically, it IS possible. But... because of what I just stated, if you imported the mesh into 3dsmax, gmax, blender, or w/e, added the necessary bones, altered the UV settings, AND added the necessary animation files, then exported it to .msh format..... You'd end up with all the characters of that race and gender's faces being based off that mesh, with no ears. Oh, and I forgot the DAA uses seperate meshes for the eyes, so you'd also have to "pluck out" (edit) the area of the mesh where the eyes would be.Sorry to have to give you bad news on your first post here :sad:But yeah... two completely different games, with massively different ways of doing things  You can however, try to recreate a likeness of the face either in the toolset, or in the character creator.some tutorials for you, if you want to try to create or use a different morph for a character you've already made. http://thenexusforums.com/index.php?showtopic=168300
