Fimbulvitir
Hi I made these swords to keep all the basic swords in the game from looking identical. They're based on the Oakshott typology of medieval swords, and work in-game.I was hoping to make this the first installment in a series of weapon packs adding far more diversity to the weapons in Skyrim. The problem is the textures, I'm not happy with the way they look, especially in the 1st person view. I was hoping someone could help me with higher quality textures and UV mapping that would make the mod more releasable.
DrNewcenstein
Set the size of the UV map to something huge before you export it from whatever program you're using, or even NifSkope. As for higher-res textures, you either need good source images or mad skilz with a paint prog.
BrownPastel
Set the size of the UV map to something huge before you export it from whatever program you're using, or even NifSkope. Fimbulvitir
Well, it's not so much the source texture size that's the problem, I found some all right ones stock texture sites like BrownPastel said. it's more about UV mapping the faces in a way that looks professional, blender for instance is hard to use I feel as pressing the wrong button makes the user interface disappear and all that.
