SpellAndShield
I was thinking about this because I have used the shapeshifter mod where you can turn into an ogre and I have to say it was my favourite form but at 2000+ health and 500+ damage per NORMAL attack...it was a little overpowered. Well, I don't know if this is implementable or even feasable (I am a tech-idiot as all who 'know' me here, know) but here is my idea...to make a powerful but not overpowerful warrior specialisation that is fun and cool at the same time. Background Ogrelon In the deepest, most forlorn areas of the Frostback mountains one can find with greater frequency the mightiest of the darkspawn; the savage and powerful ogres. Grey Wardens have always recognised these as the darkspawn which are potentially the greatest threat, if only because of their immense size and power and thus some centuries ago, several Grey Wardens journeyed to the most barren and hidden areas of the Frostback mountains and Deep Roads where it was said that the Ogres of Ferelden were to be found in greater abundance and they began to...study them in all their aspects; they fought them, sneaking about they observed them and they even studied their blood. They saw the differences, not just between ogres and other darkspawn but between all darkspawn and saw in the tainted blood greater potential than had been previously thought. Soon after these Grey Wardens sought out practicioners of blood magic and with them they refashioned the tainted ogre blood into something new and powerful. Having mastered their own darkspawn taint, the combined power of blood magic and their own will allowed them to transform...first gaining greater strength and endurance and evenetually through meditation and mastery they gained the ability to transform their bodies into those of mighty ogres themselves. These days Grey Warden Ogrelons are rare; for one because the journey to the deepest recesses of the Deep Roads within the Frostback Mountains is extremely arduous and only a select few manage it and because of the nature of the Ogrelons themselves; they have conjoined blood magic with the taint within themselves to become something greater and whilst this gives new meaning to the concept of fighting fire with fire, many, even within the Grey Wardens, consider it evil. Specialisation Ogrelon Warrior Effects: +2 strength, +2 constitution, +20% physical resistance Grey Wardens who have combined the darkspawn taint within themselves with blood magic and the conjoining of ogre blood; Ogrelons are the mightiest of warriors and perhaps the most savage and bloodthirsty of the Grey Wardens as well. Due to the constraints of becoming an Ogrelon, none but a Grey Warden may become one and then only a select few. Savage Blood Passive The first step in their mastery of their ogre nature, taking this grants permanent bonuses to the Ogrelon. +5 Strength, +5 Constitution, +2 Armour Bonus, +10 health bonus Rage Sustained Requires Level 10 When an Ogrelon rages, he gains large bonuses to damage, cannot be knocked down or stunned as well as bonuses to critical chance. +10 damage bonus, +10% critical chance, immune to knockdown and stun Savage Mastery Passive Requires Level 12 Nearing the pinnacle of his chosen calling, the Ogrelon becomes even more powerful. +10 Strength, +10 Constitution, +5 armour bonus, +20 health Ogre Form Activated Requires Level 14 Combining his own taint with that of the ogres, as well as dark blood magic, the Ogrelon's body twists and mutates as he becomes a savage and mighty ogre. Gains ability to transform into an ogre, gaining all abilities of an ogre, grab, boulder hurl, stomp, etc. as well as bonuses to strength, constitution, damage, health and armour. When in this form the Ogrelon gains +20 strength, +20 Constitution, +10 armour, +50 health as well as +20 damage bonus; this is cumulative with all the other gains from the specialisation and can be combined with rage. Anyway, it's just an idea but I think it could make for a cool and fun specialisation to strive for with an interesting background. Tell me what you think!
